Today's photo is of Shemar Moore and Victoria Rowell at the 1995 Daytime Emmy Awards. They memorably played Malcolm Winters and Drucilla Barber Winters for many years on Y&R and are missed on the show.

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS posted week-to-week gains in viewers and key women demographics, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending March 24.

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, THE TALK and LET'S MAKE A DEAL also notched weekly increases.

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS was up +8% in viewers (4.71m from 4.37m), +5% in women 25-54 (2.0/12 from 1.9/12), +8% in women 18-49 (1.4/09 from 1.3/09) and +17% in women 18-34 (0.7/05 from 0.6/04).

In honor of the upcoming 40th anniversary of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS (YR40), We Love Soaps will be posting a "Classic Photo of the Day" for the rest of the month. Today's photo is of Paul Williams, Lauren Fenmore, Faren Connor and Andy Richards, played by Doug Davidson, Tracey Bregman, Colleen Casey and Steven Ford. Andy and Paul were partners and a great dynamic duo in the 1980s. If you read the @WeLoveSoapsTV Twitter feed, you know I'm still pining away for a Paul and Lauren reunion.

Ford is the son of President Gerald Ford and Betty Ford.

In honor of the upcoming 40th anniversary of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS (YR40), We Love Soaps will be posting a "Classic Photo of the Day" for the rest of the month. Today's photo is of Tyrone Jackson and Amy Lewis, played by Phil Morris and Stephanie Williams. Tyrone was Jazz's brother, and had to go undercover (as a white man) to help bring down the mob. Lewis went on to play Simone on GENERAL HOSPITAL and Sheila on ONE LIFE TO LIVE in the 1990s.
