WATCH: First Two Episodes of ROOM 8, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL's Web Series

What happens when two attractive young people - an unemployed business analyst and a budding comic-book artist - unknowingly rent the same apartment, the only one that each could find? They reluctantly decide to move in together, and that's when the sparks fly as opposite worlds collide, in ROOM 8, the new online series debuting today, starring two characters (Carter Walton and Maya Avant) from the CBS daytime soap opera THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL.

Lawrence Saint-Victor plays Carter and Karla Mosley is Maya on THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL. Their characters star in a web series on B&B and ROOM 8 is that web series within a soap come to life. CBS did this with THE LAW on GUIDING LIGHT in 2006-2007. The network also used characters from THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and AS THE WORLD TURNS in a web series, L.A. DIARIES, in 2007 but that series was never mentioned on the soaps.

Check out the first two episodes of ROOM 8 below and let us know what you think.

From THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL To The Web: ROOM 8 To Become a Real Web Series

CBS is bringing THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL's fictional web series, ROOM 8, to life as a real online series, according to TV Guide Magazine. ROOM 8 will premiere on August 8 at Room8TheSeries.com.

The eight-episode project will star B&B's Karla Mosley (Maya) and Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter), once again in the roles of Lance and Scarlett.

"This is Rafael's original vision for Room 8 — the one that would have been filmed if Caroline Spencer hadn't gotten involved and started changing it up to make Rick jealous," says Saint-Victor, who is writing and producing the online version with Mosley..

Saint-Victor and Mosley created and starred in their own online series, WED-LOCKED, in 2009, earning an Indie Soap Award nomination for their work.

ROOM 8 joins a list of web series based on soap arcs including L.A. DIARIES (starring Y&R's Amber and ATWT's Alison) in 2007, and THE LAW (starring GUIDING LIGHT's Frank, Gus, Marina and Mallet) in 2006-2007.

Check out a preview of ROOM 8 below.
