The Paley Center for Media Announces the Inaugural Launch of "PaleyFest: Made in NY"

The Paley Center for Media and the Mayor's Office of Media & Entertainment will present the first annual PaleyFest: Made in NY on October 2-6 at the Paley Center in New York. For thirty years, The Paley Center for Media has presented the iconic PaleyFest in Los Angeles - the premier television festival in the country. PaleyFest: Made in NY builds on this history, reputation, and dedicated community, giving an audience of avid media consumers the opportunity to connect with leading creators - and one another - and have meaningful dialogue around quality programming and content. Confirmed panel events include the casts and creators of ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK, ELEMENTARY, THE AMERICANS, SMALL EMPIRES WITH ALEXIS OHANIAN, THE OUTS and BOARDWALK EMPIRE.

REVENGE Stars Emily VanCamp, Gabriel Mann and Nick Wechsler Shoot Seaside White Wedding
Earlier this week, several members of the ABC cast, including Emily VanCamp, Gabriel Mann, Nick Wechsler, Margarita Levieva and Christa B. Allen, were spotted in a sea of wedding white on the Redondo Beach, Calif. set.

Stepping away from their serious characters, the cast took some time to relax and pose for silly pictures in between scenes.

The results are in from the We Love Soaps Indie Soap Best of the Week poll for September 23-29, 2012. The season finale of ANACOSTIA finished at No. 1 for the first time, followed by new episodes of HUNTING SEASON and AVE 43.  The season premiere of THE CAVANAUGHS was fourth.

A reliable source tells me that big news is ahead for one Indie series.  This news could possibly change the face of how you watch scripted drama!  My source says a press release is in the works with all the exciting details!

ANACOSTIA and ANYONE BUT ME made brief-but-beautiful appearances Tuesday evening up on the big screen at Landmark Sunshine Cinema (on the Lower East Side). A choice excerpt of each (about thirty seconds or so long) appears in the soon-to-be-released documentary Soap Life, which mentioned several Indies as a way of illustrating alternatives to network, daytime dramas.

DEVANITY, that luscious, lurid nexus of glamour, drama, and camp, has been shooting scenes with soap heavy-hitters Arianne Zucker, Kyle Lowder and Charlene Tilton for season 3 (enjoy our exclusive photos from the set). Showrunner Michael Caruso predicts we'll see a trailer "late September, early October" and promises big, beefy episodes with running times of around 22 minutes each - or longer.

I just happened to be chatting with Arianne on the phone Friday evening, and so I turned the conversation to DEVANITY.  How did it go?

WATCH: THE OUTS "Fun Party"

THE OUTS is back with a brand new episode this week, "Fun Party." Jack (Hunter Canning) gets a call he'd rather not answer, and Oona (Sasha Winters) deals with the aftermath of her big party. The episode was screened on Monday night at Berry Park in Brooklyn to loud cheers and rave reviews from those in attendance. Watch "Fun Party" below:

Showrunner Brad Bell is hellbent on giving us as much season two goodness as he possibly can, and fans have been responding splendidly to the notion that - in addition to earning more traditional incentives such as autographed photos and TV paraphernalia - the more money we give, the more show we're going to get.
