'The Muppets' Sneak Peek: Ed Helms Karaokes With the Crew

Ed Helms guest stars on tonight's new episode of The Muppets, airing at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

In "Pig Out," the gang has an epic night out when they run into Helms at Rowlf's Tavern and they all perform their favorite karaoke jams, but Kermit is not pleased when no one shows up to work the next day.

Meanwhile, Fozzie has an unfortunate accident during the show.

Liam Hemsworth, Nick Offerman and Christina Applegate guest star on tonight's new episode of The Muppets, airing at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

In "Bear Left then Bear Write," Fozzie takes things a little too far when Kermit offers him advice and Nick Offerman steps in to help the gang.

Meanwhile, Christina Applegate guests on "Up Late," and brings Miss Piggy a sweet surprise that doesn't go over well and Pepe, Rizzo and Liam Hemsworth try to help Gonzo out with his online dating situation.

"I've been gorgeous since birth," Hemsworth explains, "but just at a super high level."

The Muppets stars Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, The Great Gonzo, Pepe the King Prawn, Rizzo, Scooter, Rowlf and The Electric Mayhem.

Miss Piggy Gets a Hostile Makeover on Tonight's Episode of 'The Muppets' with Guest Star Josh Groban

My favorite new show of the fall season to date is ABC's soapy reboot of The Muppets, which goes behind the scenes with Kermit and the gang as they produce a late night talk show. The next episode ("Hostile Makeover") airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

In an attempt to make Miss Piggy happy, Kermit sets her up with Josh Groban who fills her head with ideas on how to make Up Late with Miss Piggy better. Meanwhile, Fozzie is invited to a party at Jay Leno's house and everyone is annoyed that Bobo is selling cookies for his daughter's troop.

Laurence Fishburne (One Life to Live), Lea Thompson (Switched at Birth) and Reza Aslan also guest star.

'The Muppets' Premieres Tonight on ABC, Explores Backstage Relationships at Miss Piggy's Late Night Show

ABC's new soapy version of The Muppets premieres tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT. In "Pig Girls Don't Cry (Pilot)," Miss Piggy is furious that Kermit booked Elizabeth Banks as a guest on her late night talk show Up Late with Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear meets his girlfriend’s parents, and Grammy Award-winning rock band Imagine Dragons performs their new single “Roots”.

The Muppets will "explore the Muppets’ personal lives and relationships, both at home and at work, as well as romances, breakups, achievements, disappointments, wants and desires."  With Kermit serving as executive producer of Up Late with Miss Piggy, hosted by his ex, things get complicated in a hurry.  And, of course, there are lots of laughs.

Watch below as Kermit the Frog and the confident Miss Piggy meet up for the first time since their very-public breakup to discuss how they are going work together on their new show. The rendezvous quickly goes awry when insults start flying and the meeting turns into the ultimate Hollywood power lunch.

The video features cameos by some of this year’s most popular female Emmy nominees including Julie Bowen (Modern Family), Viola Davis (How to Get Away with Murder), and a hilarious appearance by Emmy-nominated Joel McHale (The Soup).

ABC has nailed down the fall dates and times for the start of the new season.

I'm curious about Blood & Oil and The Muppets as prospective new primetime soaps.

The Don Johnson vehicle smells like a cold weather Dallas. It's the same project once titled Boom and then Oil.

Meanwhile, the description of the newest incarnation of the famous furry franchise promises "to explore the Muppets’ personal lives and relationships, both at home and at work, as well as romances, breakups, achievements, disappointments, wants and desires."

A puppet Passions? You never know. What's clear is that, for better or for worse, this isn't a variety show. And, it features human-Muppet romance!

ABC 2015-2016 Fall Series Premiere Dates Announced!

ABC will launch its 2015-2016 TV season in mid-September with a stable of returning hit shows and five new series to join the schedule. The premiere dates are listed below. Dancing with the Stars will kick off its 21st season on Monday, September 14. Beyond The Tank will air Tuesdays at 10 p.m., beginning September 29, until Wicked City takes over the Tuesday 10:00 p.m. time slot, beginning October 27.
