INTERVIEW: The Further Adventures Of Bradford Anderson Part Two - Nielsens, Mad Men, and Maxies

In Part One of our interview with Emmy nominated Bradford Anderson, the acclaimed actor discussed his Indie Soap Award nomination for THE FURTHER ADVENTURES OF CUPID AND EROS, as well as ambivalence about GENERAL HOSPITAL'S future.  In Part Two we discuss disparities in the Nielsen ratings system and keeping Spinelli from going "backwards," as well as the revolving Maxie's.

WE LOVE SOAPS TV: Here at We Love Soaps TV we have declared 2012 “The Year Of The Soap.” Although continuing stories are changing in one form, they are continuing to grow and flourish with Indie Soaps, ABC Family Network, AMC Network, as more money is being invested in fictional serials than ever before.
Bradford Anderson: Yes, and I am getting more familiar with the Indie Soaps.  Obviously I know my own, and I’m getting familiar with VENICE and THE BAY.  I see cable as where good scripted television has become the new gourmet.  There is something exciting about the prestige behind good scripted television now.  In the past, it seemed scripted television wasn’t celebrated because it couldn’t be done by artisans, it was about the big networks.  Now it’s like the artisan crafters of good drama are producing it on cable channels that don’t have huge budgets and don’t get huge numbers.

Spend Valentine's Day With Bradford Anderson's "Cupid" - Part Three

In Parts One and Two of our interview with Bradford Anderson the beloved quirky actor discussed his exciting new role on THE FURTHER ADVENTURES OF CUPID AND EROS, as well as his memorable tenure on GENERAL HOSPITAL as Spinelli, and the highs and lows of Spinelli's relationship with Maxie.  In this final part below he discusses his participation in the band Port Chuck, his pilot on TNT, as well as insights into his career on daytime.  What's next for this multi-talented artist? Find out below!

WE LOVE SOAPS TV: Last year you went on tour with Steve Burton, Scott Reeves, and Brandon Barash, as a member of “Port Chuck.”  How was the tour?
Bradford Anderson: It was a blast! Us four guys have a great time together.  Steve has been a great friend, a great support system, and a great mentor to me, for a very long time.  He’s one of the most generous gracious fellows I’ve ever met.  Then you add Scott Reeves to that and he’s this great light of positive energy at all times.  Brandon and I were pretty tight, we were so lucky that Steve and Scott invited us to be part of it.  They take care of a lot of the details.  Scott has been a successful musician in Nashville, and Steve has the know-how and means to set things in motion.  Scott does the booking, Steve does the management stuff, and Brandon and I just show up.  We were on a tour bus together with nine other guys, going from city to city, getting to hang out with large groups of excited people.  It was something new for me.  I’ve been in music my whole life, but never in a band.  It was a childhood dream fulfilled.

WE LOVE SOAPS TV: I can only imagine what that tour bus was like.

Spend Valentine's Day With Bradford Anderson's "Cupid" - Part One

Bradford Anderson has been entertaining soap fans as the wonderfully quirky and lovable Damian Spinelli on GENERAL HOSPITAL for over four years. But get ready, because starting this Monday, February 14th, the actor is taking on a very new and exciting role a the web series, THE FURTHER ADVENTURES OF CUPID AND EROSPlease enjoy this exclusive new interview with the beloved talent as he discusses his new role, and clues us into Spinelli's future on GH.

WE LOVE SOAPS TV: It’s so great to speak with you again.  I’d like to start our talk by asking you about your participation in this fascinating new web series, THE FURTHER ADVENTURES OF CUPID AND EROS.
Bradford Anderson: It is the brainchild of my longtime friend and college roommate, Avi Glijansky.  He and I have been attempting to work together for years and it never came to fruition. I finally had some time in my schedule and he was able to find a place for me in his web series so it all worked out.

WE LOVE SOAPS TV: Who is your character going to be?
Bradford Anderson: His name is Achilles.  It’s funny because I was originally supposed to take part in the web series when it started a year ago in February.  As you may remember, I was on the soap cruise last January and ruptured my Achilles tendon.  When I found out the extent of my injury, I found out I could not participate in the web series or be of any use to him.  He wrote me in later, and I think it was his intention to be cute using the name “Achilles.”
