"The Assembled Parties" In Previews Now, Opens April 17 - Cast Includes Judith Light & Jake Silbermann

Broadway's "The Assembled Parties," a family drama that unfolds on New York’s Upper West Side., began previews March 21 at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre,. The show stars Judith Light, Jessica Hecht and Jeremy Shamos. It opens April 17 and will run until June 2.

Light, who won two Emmys for her work as Karen Wolek in ONE LIFE TO LIVE and recently amazed as Harris Ryland's controlling mother in DALLAS, returns to the stage to play Faye. "The Assembled Parties" follows Faye, whose child is mentally challenged, as she tries to move forward and deal with her resentment of her sister-in-law Julie, a former movie star with two beautiful kids who seems to have everything. Julie surprises Faye with a gift that changes her life completely.

"It’s a lot about transformation and forgiveness, and relationships you think are not going to work out — and they do, in beautiful and secret ways," Light said recently from the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre.
