Lifetime Movie 'The Trials of Cate McCall' Premieres Tonight, Stars Kate Beckinsale, Taye Diggs, Clancy Brown, Mark Pellegrino, Nick Nolte, James Cromwell

Kate Beckinsale stars as a former hotshot lawyer who is now in recovery and estranged from her family in the Lifetime Original Movie, The Trials of Cate McCall, premiering Saturday, April 5 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

In order to be reinstated at the bar and recover custody of her daughter Cate McCall must take on the appeal of a woman wrongfully convicted of murder.

Former daytime soap opera actress Karen Moncrieff (GUIDING LIGHT, DAYS OF OUR LIVES, THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, SANTA BARBARA) wrote and directed the film.

TNT Greenlights New Steven Bochco Drama MURDER IN THE FIRST, Starring Taye Diggs and Kathleen Robertson

TNT has greenlit MURDER IN THE FIRST, a new scripted drama from Emmy(R)-winner Steven Bochco and starring Taye Diggs (PRIVATE PRACTICE) and Kathleen Robertson (Boss). Co-created by Bochco and Eric Lodal, MURDER IN THE FIRST also stars Tom Felton, Mimi Kirkland, Raphael Sbarge (Once Upon a Time), Ian Anthony Dale, Bess Rous (What Just Happened) and Steven Weber (DALLAS,AS THE WORLD TURNS).

TNT has ordered 10 episodes of MURDER IN THE FIRST, which is being produced by TNT Originals. Bochco serves as executive producer, with Lodal as co-executive producer. The series is slated to premiere on TNT in summer 2014. TBS International will handle distribution to regions outside the United States and Canada.
