'Candy Cain' Holiday Trio of Films Features Former Soap Stars Patrick Muldoon, Carrie Genzel, Terri Garber, Jennifer Bassey, Cynthia Gibb

Former All My Children actress Carrie Genzel stars in the upcoming holiday film Ivy & Mistletoe.
Production has wrapped on the final film in the upcoming "Candy Cain" trio of Christmas-themed romances from writer-director Candice Cain. Production on Painting Christmas, a modern-day fairytale about an artist who receives a magical paintbrush from Santa, wrapped last week in Patchogue, NY. It follows the family-focused Ivy & Mistletoe, also shot on Long Island and the travel romance Destination: Christmas, partially shot on location on the southern European island Republic of Malta.

The holiday trio are produced by Gemelli Films and the Bryant Zamberlan Group, and are written and directed by Cain, based her original stories. The three films will be distributed by the Global Genesis Group in the United States and abroad.

'Christmas on Honeysuckle Lane' Premieres Tonight, Stars Alicia Witt, Colin Ferguson, Laura Leighton, Jill Larson

Christmas on Honeysuckle Lane premieres on November 24 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. The film stars Alicia Witt and Colin Ferguson, with a cast that includes Laura Leighton (Melrose Place), Ariane Rinehart, Jill Larson (All My Children), Mary McDonough (The Waltons), Jordan Dean and Kami Cotler (The Waltons).

With her parents passed, Emma (Witt) returns home for one last Christmas on Honeysuckle Lane before the family home is sold. While doing an appraisal, antiques dealer Morgan (Ferguson) discovers love letters hidden in Emma's mother's desk, and they're signed with initials that aren’t her father’s. In researching the mystery man, and while enjoying holiday festivities, Emma and Morgan fall in love. But when Emma's ex arrives, Morgan backs off. Then when he shows up at a gala with another woman, Emma is heartbroken. Misunderstandings abound during Christmas on Honeysuckle Lane, and the mystery of the love letters still must be solved.

'Killer Vacation' Premieres November 23, Stars Jacob Young and Alexa Havins

Former All My Children co-stars Jacob Young and Alexa Havins reunite in Killer Vacation, premiering November 23 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Lifetime Movies.

In the film, successful businessman Jake (Young) takes his pregnant girlfriend Lindsey on a babymoon trip to an upscale desert resort. When they get there, Lindsey discovers that Jake's meddlesome soon to be ex-wife, Gwen, is there too. In a dream vacation gone wrong, it becomes apparent that someone is determined that Lindsey will never use her return ticket.

'Hope at Christmas' Premieres Tonight, Stars Ryan Paevey & Scottie Thompson

Ryan Paevey (General Hospital) and Scottie Thompson (12 Monkeys) and star in Hope at Christmas, which premieres tonight at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries as part of the network's annual "Miracles of Christmas" programming event.

Recently divorced Sydney (Thompson) and her daughter Rayanne (Erica Tremblay) are seeking a fresh start and begin by visiting Hopewell, the small town in North Carolina where Sydney spent holidays with her grandparents as a young girl. Initially there only to sell the house she inherited, Sydney and Rayanne are embraced by the town in ways that only fate and the magic of Christmas can explain, and Sydney soon finds herself hopelessly smitten by Mac (Paevey), an elementary schoolteacher, fill-in Santa, and the very definition of "a good man."

'Escaping the Madhouse: The Nellie Bly Story' Premieres January 19, Stars Christina Ricci, Judith Light & Josh Bowman

Lifetime premieres the psychological thriller Escaping the Madhouse: The Nellie Bly Story, on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 8 pm ET/PT. Starring Golden Globe and Emmy nominated actress Christina Ricci (Monster) as 19th century pioneering journalist Elizabeth Cochran Seaman who published under the name of Nellie Bly, the Lifetime feature movie is inspired by her undercover stay at the impenetrable Women's Lunatic Asylum on New York's Blackwell's island. Two-time Tony and Emmy Award-winner and Golden Globe nominee Judith Light (Transparent, One Life to Live) stars as Matron Grady, the head nurse who tortured her patients into submission while Josh Bowman (Revenge) takes on the role of Dr. Josiah. This marks Ricci's return to Lifetime following her SAG nominated performance in the limited series, The Lizzie Borden Chronicles and the prequel movie, Lizzie Borden Took An Axe.

On a mission to expose the deplorable conditions and mistreatment of patients at the notorious Women's Lunatic Asylum, investigative reporter Nellie Bly (Ricci) feigns mental illness in order to be institutionalized to report from the inside. The movie delivers an intense and fictionalized account of actual events surrounding Nellie's stay beginning after Nellie has undergone treatment, leaving her with no recollection of how she came to the asylum or her real identity. Nellie's unwillingness to submit to authority results in unspeakable torture at the hands of the head nurse, Matron Grady (Light). When Nellie captures the attention of Dr. Josiah (Bowman) who tries to help her, Grady's barbaric tactics only intensify, leading Nellie to questions if she actually does belong in the asylum after all.

'Nightclub Secrets' Premieres Tonight on Lifetime, Stars Kate Mansi, Rachel Hendrix, Nick Marshall

Nightclub Secrets premieres on Saturday, July 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Lifetime. The film stars Kate Mansi (Days of our Lives), Rachel Hendrix, Nick Marshall, Gigi Rice and Gary Weeks.

Zoe (Mansi), a middle-American elementary school teacher, has been running away from a tumultuous relationship with her mother and younger sister, Rachel (Hendrix), for as long as she can remember. But Zoe is forced to return to LA and the home she escaped when she receives a sudden phone call from her mother, Barbara (Rice), telling her that Rachel, a bottle girl in an exclusive LA club, has killed herself. Unconvinced that Rachel would take her own life, Barbara urges Zoe to find out what really happened. Now Zoe needs to pose as a bottle girl herself and infiltrate the mysterious depths of the high-end nightclub world to track down Rachel’s killer. Will Zoe be able to avenge her sister’s death and finally find peace for her family once and for all?

Busy chocolatier Charlotte (Lilley) has left her boyfriend James (Rosner) at the altar three times and now she needs to prove to him that she really does want to marry him. Things are complicated when his ex-girlfriend Nicole (Lowndes), who is also the owner of Chocolate Monthly Magazine, arrives on the scene and says she wants him back.

'Framed by My Fiance' Premieres November 24 on Lifetime, Stars Jason-Shane Scott & Katrina Bowden

Framed by My Fiancé premieres November 24 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Lifetime. The film stars One Life to Live alums Jason-Shane Scott and Katrina Bowden.

When Daniel (Scott), a brilliant young lawyer on the verge of becoming a state judge, is involved in a car accident, he takes matters into his own hands and shifts his fiancée Jenny (Bowden) to the driver's seat to hide his culpability. At the hospital, Jenny learns that the driver of the other car died and she's to be charged with manslaughter. Desperate to get her life back, Jenny sets out to convince the driver's vengeful widow that she is innocent, not realizing that Daniel will stop at nothing to keep the truth a secret.

Stalked by My Ex premieres December 15 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Lifetime. The film stars Yves Bright (Animal Kingdom), Tamara Braun (General Hospital, Days of our Lives) and Brytnee Ratledge (Only the Brave).

After learning that her abusive ex-husband Sam (Bright) is about to be released from prison, Chloe (Braun) flees with her teenage daughter Olivia (Ratledge) to her hometown. Once there, Chloe finds herself faced with the same obstacles that led her to leave in the first place. Meanwhile, Sam is determined to find them in order to execute his ultimate plan of a life that does not include Chloe.

'You Killed My Mother' Premieres December 8 on Lifetime, Stars Carlena Britch, Ashley Jones, Sarah McVie & Seamus Patterson

If you aren't a fan of holiday movies, Lifetime is offering viewers alternative programming with new thriller films airing in November and December. On December 8th at 8 p.m. ET/PT, the network premieres "You Killed My Mother" starring Carlena Britch, General Hospital's Ashley Jones, Sarah McVie and Seamus Patterson.

In "You Killed My Mother, an emotionally disturbed teen attacks a hospital nurse when she is told her critically ill mother won't qualify for a liver transplant. After her release from a mental institution years later, Jo (Britch) plots an elaborate scheme of revenge against all those she blames for her mother's death.

"You Killed My Mother" is executive produced by Tom Berry, Sebastian Battro and Pierre David. The film is directed by Curtis Crawford and written by Stephen Romano.

Following its most-watched holiday season ever in 2016, ION will debut the U.S. television premieres of five all-new original holiday movies beginning November 26. The "Very Merry" lineup includes "A Royal Christmas Ball" on Sunday, December 10 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The film stars Tara Reid, Ingo Rademacher (Thorne, The Bold and the Beautiful; ex-Jax, General Hospital), Haley Pullos (Molly, General Hospital), Faune Chambers Watkins, Mykel Shannon Jenkins (ex-Charlie, The Bold and the Beautiful;) and Mira Furlan.

Dateless for the Christmas ball, 39-year-old bachelor, King Charles of Baltania, tracks down his American college sweetheart, only to discover Allison has never been married, yet raised a 17-year-old daughter, Lily, who mathematically might be Charles' biological princess.

Lifetime Renews 'UnREAL' For Fourth Season & Announces Fall Movie Premieres

Lifetime has given new season greenlights to the critically-acclaimed drama series UnREAL for a fourth season and freshman drama Mary Kills People for a season two, it was announced today by Liz Gateley, EVP and Head of Programming for Lifetime. The renewal of UnREAL comes ahead of its much-anticipated third season, which will debut in early 2018 alongside Mary Kills People. Lifetime's scripted fare also includes the straight-to-series psychological thriller from Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble, YOU, starring Penn Badgley and Elizabeth Lail, which begins production this August. In line with Lifetime's Broad Focus initiative, more than 50% of directors for these series are female, and are predominately produced and written by women.

With three original cable movies ranked in the top four in women 25-54* this year, Lifetime furthers its supremacy in long form storytelling with greenlights of Faith Under Fire and The Simone Biles Story (working title). Grammy winner Toni Braxton, whose Lifetime biopic Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart was the #1 rated cable movie of 2016**, makes her return to the network to star as Antoinette Tuff, a clerical worker who talks down a school shooter in Faith Under Fire from Sony Pictures Television. America's most decorated gymnast with 19 Olympic and World Championship medals, Simone Biles also signs on for a Lifetime biopic revealing the sacrifices and dedication it took her to become one of the greatest and most celebrated athletes in the world.

'Countdown to Christmas' and 'Most Wonderful Movies of Christmas' 2017 Movies Announced

Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will light up audiences' homes with a record number of 33 new, original holiday world premiere movies in 2017. Hallmark Channel's annual, top-rated holiday event "Countdown to Christmas" and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries' beloved "The Most Wonderful Movies of Christmas" will gift viewers with more Christmas content than any other network. Along with 33 new, original movies across the two networks, holiday specials will also be part of the programing extravaganza including the "National Christmas Tree Lighting," "Holiday Homecoming with Jewel" and "A Very Happy Yule Log" featuring Happy the Cat and Dog. The annual round-the-clock holiday programming tradition begins Friday, October 27, 2017 and continues throughout the season until Monday, January 1, 2018. The announcement was made today as part of Crown Media Family Networks' bi-annual TV Critics Association Press Tour.

"Each year, more and more viewers tune in to Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries to get into the spirit with exceptional, original holiday programming," said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming and Network Publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. Lori Loughlin Is Solving Mysteries Every Sunday in August on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries

Follow the clues with Jennifer (Loughlin) as Hallmark Movies & Mysteries uncovers four new original mysteries. The network's highly-rated "Garage Sale Mystery" series becomes a limited series every Sunday in August starring Lori Loughlin ("When Calls the Heart," "Fuller House"), Sarah Strange ("Men in Trees," "Life as We Know It,"), Steve Bacic ("When Calls the Heart"), Eva Bourne ("When Calls the Heart") and Kevin O'Grady ("You Me Her").

"Garage Sale Mystery: The Beach Murder," Premieres Sunday, August 6 (9 pm ET/PT)

Jennifer Shannon (Loughlin) knows to snap up a weathered 60s surfboard on behalf of her client Anne Winters (Chiara Zanni), whose entrepreneur husband Steve (David Paetkau) hits the waves every chance he gets. When Steve's wet-suited body is discovered on a secluded beach, circumstances indicate an accidental drowning. Yet from the beginning, Jennifer notices incongruous details that suggest a different cause of death: murder. As she closes in on the mystery of just how Steve was killed and by whom, Jennifer is herself wading into dangerous waters.

'Story of a Girl' Premieres Tonight on Lifetime, Kyra Sedgwick's Directorial Debut

Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning actress Kyra Sedgwick (Julia Shearer on Another World) makes her directorial debut with the Lifetime movie, Story of a Girl, based on the novel of the same name by Sara Zarr. The film premieres tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT

When a sex video of 13-year-old Deanna (Ryann Shane) and Tommy (Tyler Johnson) goes viral, her life of carefree innocence is changed forever. Three years later, Deanna is still dealing with the fallout of the video, including being branded the school slut. Ready to move on, Deanna longs to escape a life defined by the mistakes of her past.

Also starring in the cast are Segwick's husband, Kevin Bacon (Tim Werner on Guiding Light, Todd Adamson on Search for Tomorrow), and daughter, Sosie Bacon.

'The Wedding March 2' Premieres Tonight, Stars Jack Wagner & Josie Bissett

The Wedding March 2, a sequel reuniting Jack Wagner (ex-Frisco, General Hospital; ex-Nick, The Bold and the Beautiful; et al.) and Josie Bissett (ex-Jane, Melrose Place) in a fresh tale of unexpected romance, premieres Saturday, June 17 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Hallmark Channel.

In the follow-up to last year's The Wedding March, Mick Turner (Wagner) and Olivia Parsons (Bissett) were college sweethearts until he left the relationship to go on tour with his band. Now, years later, Mick needs a silent partner to help him revive his failing Willow Lake Inn and, unbeknownst to him, Olivia is moving to New England for that purpose. But when Mick learns that Olivia is coming, he misinterprets her intentions. He thinks she wants to rekindle their romance, and she’s planning on not-so-silently revamping his simple Inn into a premiere wedding resort. Will a bridezilla and her reluctant beau, who book the Willow Lake Inn for their perfect wedding, drive Mick and Olivia apart or finally bring them to the altar?

'Days of our Lives' Alum Jason Cook Stars in LMN Movie 'Girlfriend Killer' on June 1

Jason Cook (formerly Shawn on Days of our Lives), Barbie Castro, Dina Meyer and Corin Nemec star in Girlfriend Killer, a new original movie premiering Thursday, June 1 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on LMN.

Beautiful, innovative entrepreneur Carmen Ruiz (Castro) has created a successful online service that helps wealthy men plan romantic marriage proposals and then films them as a keepsake. But when one of her clients, Emerson Banes (Cook), proposes to his girlfriend Marissa (Elisabetta Fantone), the unexpected happens.

Marissa confesses to Emerson that she’s been having an affair and is in love with someone else. Shocked, Carmen gives Emerson his money back and does her best to console him. Mistaking sympathy for interest, Emerson develops an obsession with Carmen and when she rejects his advances, terrible things begin to happen. First, her house is broken into and her boyfriend Ryan (Bryan Gross) is almost hit by a car in a parking lot.

It's not until Carmen discovers that Marissa has gone missing that she connects Emerson to her sudden string of bad luck. Things get worse when she goes to the police with information about Emerson. Detectives Price (Meyer) and Baker (Nemec) begin to investigate the case which panics Emerson. Seeing her as just another woman who rejected him and bent on revenge, Emerson ups the stakes and kidnaps Carmen's teenage daughter Ayla (Taylor Castro, in her debut role). Carmen must take whatever steps necessary to stop Emerson and save her daughter.

TV One Reveals 2017-2018 Slate of Original Movies

TV One has announced its 4Q17-2018 slate of original movies, focusing on storytelling that will promote culturally authentic stories that inspire as well as entertain viewers and further strengthen the network's goal to be the premiere destination for relevant programming geared toward the African American community.

"We are so excited to produce and present such a wide range of original films that expand the narrative of our community," said D'Angela Proctor, TV One's SVP, Original Programming & Production. "Because music is in our DNA, it plays an integral part of our original movie programming strategy."

Capitalizing on the success of last year's original movie offerings, TV One will produce a well-rounded offering of films ranging from bio-pics, historical films and holiday fare.

For the music lover, TV One celebrates three films inspired by musical artists, including Who Can I Run To: The Xscape Story, a film inspired by the R&B quartet's episode of Unsung, which was the most popular episode aired in the series' history. The film is being produced in partnership with legendary music producer and So So Def founder Jermaine Dupri, the label that produced Xscape's three platinum albums. All This Love: The DeBarge Family Story, based on the book, "Other Side of Pain" by Etterlene "Mama" DeBarge, focuses on the rise and fall of one of the most famous music families of the late 70s and 80s. Additionally, the highly-anticipated film, Bobbi Kristina, is the made-for-TV biopic, inspired by the life of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's only child. The film stars Vivica A. Fox, Demetria McKinney, Hassan Johnson and Joy Rovaris in the title role.
