2016 TCA Awards Winners Include Rachel Bloom, Sarah Paulson, 'The People v. O.J Simpson'

Rachel Bloom won for her work in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
The Television Critics Association (TCA) recognized the best of the best from the 2015-2016 television season on Saturday night at its 32nd Annual TCA Awards presentation. The event was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel and hosted by Jane the Virgin’s Jaime Camil.

“This was truly a landmark season –not just for television, but for women in television,” said Amber Dowling, TCA President. “We had an unprecedented amount of female winners this year, which is a testament to both the talented actresses who were honored tonight, as well as to the growing number of high-quality roles being created for and by women. It’s extremely encouraging to see this growing trend being embraced, accepted, and expanded upon, and I look forward to seeing even more of it in the future.”

Hulu Highlights Premieres & Coming Attractions at TCA 2013

The following shows were highlighted by Hulu on Wednesday during their Television Critics Association presentation:

THE AWESOMES - Premieres: August 1, 2013

THE AWESOMES is an animated show for adults that combines the thrills of comic book storytelling with the irreverent and inspired comedy that is the hallmark of show co-creators Seth Meyers (SNL) and Michael Shoemaker (LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON). It is the story about the greatest superhero team in history, The Awesomes, and what happens after all the most powerful members leave. The team is led by the possibly under-qualified Professor Doctor Awesome, voiced by Meyers, who is determined to bring these funny-if-flawed superheroes to glory. Meyers and Shoemaker called upon their many friends in the comedy world to voice the characters, including Rashida Jones, Ike Barinholtz, Josh Meyers and some of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE's most celebrated cast and alumni Kenan Thompson, Bill Hader, Emily Spivey, Bobby Moynihan, Taran Killam, Rachel Dratch and Paula Pell. This first animated Hulu Original Series is executive produced by Meyers, Shoemaker, and Broadway Video.
