THE SOUND OF MUSIC LIVE! Dominates the Night with NBC's Best 18-49 Thursday Average, Excluding Sports, Since the Night of the "ER" Finale

THE SOUND OF MUSIC LIVE! (4.6/13 in 18-49 and 18.470 million viewers overall) dominated the night with NBC's best 18-49 Thursday average, excluding sports, since the night of the "ER" finale (5.2, April 2, 2009).

In total viewers, this is NBC's best Thursday average excluding sports since May 13, 2004 (FRASIER finale night, 22.597 million viewers).

· NBC won its fifth night in a row among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49 (12/1-5). It's the first time since June 2002 that NBC has won five nights in a row, excluding Olympics (since a six-night streak June 2-7, 2002; NBC's last in-season five-night streak was May 1-5, 2002).

· The top local market in metered market households came in Carrie Underwood's home state, with Oklahoma City giving the three-hour special a 20.7/28. NBC ranked #1 in primetime in all 56 metered markets.

Stephen Moyer Cast in NBC's Live Holiday Production of "The Sound of Music"

Acclaimed British actor Stephen Moyer has been added to the cast of NBC's Dececember 5 live holiday production of "The Sound of Music."

Moyer will portray decorated World War I hero Capt. Georg Von Trapp, who is the single father of seven children. Living in Austria on the cusp of World War II, the militaristic but warm-hearted Von Trapp engages a young governess, Maria, who he hires to take care of his children.

Grammy Award winner and multi-platinum recording artist Carrie Underwood is set to star as Maria.

The three-hour production will be based on the original 1959 Broadway production of "The Sound of Music," which starred Mary Martin and Theodore Bikel. The play won the Tony Award as best musical and Martin won as best actress.

TRUE BLOOD "Radioactive" Preview (Season Finale)

The sixth season of TRUE BLOOD wraps up on Sunday, August 18th at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.

In the season finale, "Radioactive," Bill (Stephen Moyer) discovers that salvation comes at a price; Jason (Ryan Kwanten) senses a vampire attraction firsthand. Sookie (Anna Paquin) examines her future with Warlow (Rob Kazinsky), while Bon Temps braces itself when a new crisis threatens both humans and vampires.

TRUE BLOOD "Life Matters" Preview

The sixth season of TRUE BLOOD continues on Sunday, August 11th at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.

In the episode, titled "Life Matters," a desperate Bill (Stephen Moyer) tries to ferry Warlow (Rob Kazinsky) away from the faerie plain, but Sookie (Anna Paquin) is having none of it. Meanwhile, Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) arrives at vamp camp, looking to inflict serious human damage. In Bon Temps, friends and family take emotional turns remembering a fallen neighbor. Bill feels the pull of Lilith's (Jessica Clark) sirens.

TRUE BLOOD "Dead Meat" Preview

The sixth season of TRUE BLOOD continues on Sunday, August 4th at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.

In the episode, titled "Dead Meat," Sookie (Anna Paquin) faces a major dilemma in deciding whether to broker a deal between Warlow (Rob Kazinsky) and Bill (Stephen Moyer). In vamp camp, Jason (Ryan Kwanten) gets to know Violet (Karolina Wydra), while Sarah (Anna Camp) goes to extremes to keep Tru Blood flowing. Alcide (Joe Manganiello) makes a decision that will impact the futures of Nicole (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) and Sam (Sam Trammell).

TRUE BLOOD Preview: "In the Evening"

The sixth season of TRUE BLOOD continues on Sunday, July 28 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.

In the episode, titled "In the Evening," Eric (Alexander Skarsgård) makes a last-ditch effort to save an ailing Nora (Lucy Griffiths). A tragedy close to home forces Sam (Sam Trammell) to ignore Alcide's (Joe Manganiello) warning and return to Bon Temps. Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) shows her gratitude to James (Luke Grimes), a fellow incarcerated vamp, while an emboldened Sarah (Anna Camp) exacts a measure of revenge on Jason (Ryan Kwanten).

Former ONE LIFE TO LIVE and ANOTHER WORLD actress Valarie Pettiford begins a guest starring arc.

TRUE BLOOD Preview: "Don’t You Feel Me?"

The sixth season of TRUE BLOOD continues on Sunday, July 21 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO.

In the episode, titled "Don’t You Feel Me?," Bill (Stephen Moyer) decides to seek out Lillith (Jessica Clark) for advice on handling the escalating human-vampire crisis. Eric (Alexander Skarsgård), Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten), Nora (Lucy Griffiths), Jason (Ryan Kwanten) and Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) get up-close-and-personal looks at the perverse perils of Vamp Camp. Sam (Sam Trammell) comes to a decision he hopes will be in Emma’s (Chloe Noelle) best interest. Andy (Chris Bauer) gives his faerie daughter a name, or two or three or four. Arlene (Carrie Preston) has a solution to Terry’s (Todd Lowe) malaise, and Eric makes a startling discovery.
