Zander Diamont Scores 79-Yard Touchdown for Indiana Versus Ohio State (Video)

Indiana quarterback Zander Diamont celebrates after scoring a touchdown
against Ohio State on October 3.
Indiana senior QB Nate Sudfeld left the third quarter of Saturday's match-up with Ohio State due to an apparent lower body injury. That meant sophomore Zander Diamont, son of The Bold and the Beautiful star Don Diamont, entered the game.

In the 4th quarter, with Indiana having just gone down by 14, Diamont ran for a 79-yard touchdown, giving the Hoosiers momentary hope of upsetting the No. 1 team in the college football polls.

Ohio State won the game 34-27, but Zander Diamont—who added 30 pounds between his freshmen and sophomore years—provided his team with a burst of excitement, and much hope for the future.

New York Yankees icon, and Hall of Fame catcher, Yogi Berra has died at the age of 90 late Tuesday night. The Yogi Berra Museum was first to break the news, which was confirmed by Major League Baseball.

On the field, Berra was regarded as one of the greatest catchers of all time. Over his 19-year playing career, Berra hit .285/.348/.482, with 358 home runs. He made 15 straight All-Star games and won three MVP awards during his 18 seasons with the Yankees.

Berra appeared in 14 World Series as a player, winning 10 of them. Both of those figures are a major-league record. He was elected into the Hall of Fame in 1972. The Yankees also retired Berra's No. 8 that same year.

Following his retirement, Berra was named the Yankees manager. He initially lasted just one season with the club, losing to the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series in seven games. After he was fired, Berra joined the Mets as a coach. He actually appeared in four games in 1965 with the team before finally transitioning into a full-time coach with the team.

NEWS: Cable Networks Lose Subscribers; Plus, Scott Turner Schofield, Scott Bryce, Ethan Embry, 'Riverside'

ESPN Tightens Its Belt as Pressure on It Mounts
A decline in subscribers as customers trim their cable bills, coupled with rising content costs and increased competition, has ESPN in belt-tightening mode, people familiar with the situation say.

The company, majority owned by Walt Disney Co., has lost 3.2 million subscribers in a little over a year, according to Nielsen data, as people have “cut the cord” by dropping their cable-TV subscriptions or downgraded to cheaper, slimmed-down TV packages devoid of expensive sports channels like ESPN.

Networks such as The Weather Channel and Viacom Inc.’s Nickelodeon have also suffered steep declines in household reach in the last four years. Among other top networks, Time Warner Inc.’s TNT has shed 6% of its base, and NBCUniversal’s USA has lost 5%.

He talked about how true originality is the domain of television now, where it used to belong to cinema. Drake Hogestyn on the Final Four

Butler is taking on Michigan today followed by Duke and West Virginia in the NCAA baskeball tournament's Final Four taking place in Indianapolis. Monday night will be the champsionship game. The We Love Soaps tournament pool could be decided after today depending on the results. We caught up with new REALITY BYTES star and Indiana native Drake Hogestyn recently and spoke about the Final Four.

Hogestyn is rooting for his home state team saying, "I'm from Indiana where there's Hoosier hysteria. Now that Butler is in the Final Four, it's great. [Coach Mike] Krzyzewski's Duke is a good team, not a great team, but they're really coming on. They are really peaking right now. When a team all buys into the program and peaks at the right time, it's amazing.

"I've been rooting for Butler because they are from Indiana and are a Mid-Major team. But if Duke wins, it's somewhat of an underdog [story], even though they are a number one seed. They were the fourth number one seed and weren't expected to get as far as Kansas, Syracuse and Kentucky.

"I'm surprised Kentucky is out. Calipari has had such trememdous success since he went back to college from the pros. To have that kind of success right away at Kentucky shows you what a good coach can do."
