Former 'One Life To Live' Star John-Paul Lavoisier Is Latest Addition to 'Winterthorne' Cast

One Life to Live alum John-Paul Lavoisier is latest cast addition for the upcoming web series Winterthorne. He will play Hugh Cambridge, a handsome and mysterious man from Miranda Winterthorne's (Martha Madison) past. Hugh is hell bent on becoming a member of the Winterthorne family and Miranda has severely underestimated his intent to seduce her.

"John-Paul has a great edgy quality that I wanted for the character of Hugh," explains Emmy-nominated Michael Caruso, creator of the series. “John-Paul is fantastic at creating subtle, smoldering layers with his acting that will build into something dangerous within the character.”

"I'm so happy to be working with my old friend, the very talented John-Paul,” adds Emmy-nominated director Sonia Blangiardo, “‘Winterthorne’ will exceed expectations with him involved as a part of this amazing cast."

John-Paul Lavoisier’s professional acting career has included numerous television, film, and theater gigs, including One Life to Live (as Rex Balsom), Major Crimes, Anger Management, Gossip Girl, Liza, Liza, Skies are Grey, One Day in May, and Placebo. He also appeared on the E! reality series Dirty Soap. His last stage appearance was in the January/February run of "The Manor," at Greystone Manor.

Originally from Philly, then Manhattan for a while, Lavoisier now calls Los Angeles home.

Winterthorne begins three weeks of production in late March, both in and outside of the Los Angeles area. Lavoisier joins previously announced cast members Martha Madison (Days of Our Lives), Michael Caruso (DeVanity), Linda Gray (Dallas), Kathleen Gati (General Hospital), Kirsten Storms (General Hospital), Gordon Thomson (Dynasty, Santa Barbara), Ron Hanks (Golden California) and Josh Thrower (90210, The Young and The Restless).

ONE LIFE TO LIVE and THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS alum Nathan Purdee has signed on to play Ethan Washington, a network President of Daytime TV in the new web series from NYC Brand Productions, TAINTED DREAMS.

"I needed someone with gravitas and experience playing strong, uber-confident men, and Nathan Purdee was at the top of my list," said series creator and executive producer, Sonia Blangiardo, "We are very fortunate to have Nathan join our cast. Larkin Malloy Joins TAINTED DREAMS

One of Daytime television's most popular leading men in the 1980s, Larkin Malloy is joining the all-star cast of TAINTED DREAMS. The actor, best known for his roles as Sky Whitney in THE EDGE OF NIGHT, Travis Montgomery on ALL MY CHILDREN and Kyle Sampson in GUIDING LIGHT, will play the role of Henry Steinman, a director of PAINTED DREAMS (TAINTED DREAMS' soap within the soap.) He was named to our 50 Greatest Soap Actors list in 2010.

According to executive producer, Sonia Blangiardo, "Henry Steinman is the most politically incorrect director in the history of Daytime…truly the Archie Bunker of the soap genre. Whatever crosses Henry’s mind comes out of his mouth…in the most inappropriate way possible."

"Before you ask, yes, Larkin and I may have known a real-life director who might allegedly fit this description," Blangiardo adds with a grin.

Grant Aleksander, who played GUIDING LIGHT's Phillip Spaulding on and off from 1982 to 2009, will play another deeply conflicted, complex character, Adam Clark, in TAINTED DREAMS.

REVIEW: Run To See "My Big Gay Italian Funeral"

Run, don't walk to see the fabulous new play "My Big Gay Italian Funeral," a funny heartwarming story of a dysfunctional family dealing with death and the drama that comes along with it. Creator, producer, and actor Anthony J. Wilkinson's writing rings true and his characters are brought vividly to life in expert performances.

As if stepping up as the head if the family wasn't stressful enough for Anthony Pinnunziato, superbly played by Wilkinson himself, he has to deal with the return of a brother he hasn't had a relationship with for over 15 years. While "My Big Gay Italian Funeral" progress it becomes apparent that through all the hilarious banter, what lays at the heart of this story is love.

The inimitable former AS THE WORLD TURNS leading lady Colleen Zenk has landed two exciting new roles: Sofia DiGiacomo in NYC Brand Productions’ TAINTED DREAMS, a scripted dramedy about behind-the-scenes of producing a daily soap opera and Tallulah Bankhead, the flamboyant stage and screen icon, in the play "Looped."

Zenk describes Sofia as “an over-involved Italian mother, with all that implies. Her husband walked out on her when her children were young, and her life revolves around her only son, Anthony, a gay production assistant for a soap opera.” Zenk teases, “Sofia is all up in Anthony’s business.” Zenk will play Mom to both Dina Manzo (DINA'S PARTY and REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW JERSEY) and Anthony Wilkinson (off-Broadway’s comedy hit, "My Big Gay Italian Wedding" and premiering off-Broadway in June, "My Big Gay Italian Funeral").
