INTERVIEW: With V & SMALLVILLE; Reese Witherspoon, Tom Hardy & Seth MacFarlane; Laura Vandervoort is Funny, Thrilling, Sci-Fi Soap "Supergirl"
We know her - and love her - from her science fiction soaps V and SMALLVILLE, and so, when we recently had a chance to speak with with the beautiful and talented Laura Vanderwoort, we were curious to hear about what she's been up to - and, what's next?
As it turns out, she's been super-busy, with new projects such as Seth MacFarlane's new film Ted and the action feature This Means War with Tom Hardy and Reese Witherspoon - and, of course, ABC Family’s New Original Movie, Desperately Seeking Santa.

NEWS: YouTube Channels, Ingo Rademacher, Gaga, Jenni Pulos
Google Inc. is working on a major overhaul of YouTubeas it tries to position itself for the rise of televisions that let people watch online video in their living rooms, according to people familiar with the matter.
Google's YouTube video website is working on a major site overhaul to organize its content around "channels" as it positions itself for the rise of Internet-connected televisions. Jessica Vascellaro has details.
YouTube is looking to compete with broadcast and cable television, some of these people said, a goal that requires it to entice users to stay on the website longer, and to convince advertisers that it will reach desirable consumers.
The site is planning a series of changes to its home page to highlight sets of "channels" around topics such as arts and sports. About 20 or so of those channels will feature several hours of professionally produced original programming a week, some of these people said. Additional channels would be assembled from content already on the site.
It is planning to spend as much as $100 million to commission low-cost content designed exclusively for the Web, people familiar with the matter said.

NEWS: March 2012 MAD MEN, Lea Michele, James Scott, Eric Marsolf
The upcoming fifth season of MAD MEN is now slated to debut in March 2012. That is 17 months from the series' fourth season finale. While the protracted negotiations between Mad Men creator/ exec producer Matt Weiner and AMC/Lionsgate TV led to the series' pushed production start and, in turn, caused the show to miss its original July premiere date, the new March return date is not directly tied to the contract talks. According to sources with knowledge of the negotiations, Weiner had been actually pushing for a shorter gap between Seasons 4 and 5 and had stated that he could get Season 5 produced and delivered on budget for a 2011 premiere.
GENERAL HOSPITAL Tragedy: Has This Soap Finally Gone Too Far?
Ed Martin writes: "The current Death of Jake Webber disappointment is another matter entirely, and it comes at a time when soaps overall are in dire peril -- and in desperate need of stories that respect their shows' histories while reinventing them for the future. In that regard, this latest GH tale has done everything wrong: It has made viewers feel bad about the time they have invested in the Jake storyline during the last few years and killed off a character that was uniquely positioned to be at the center of dozens of compelling stories in the years to come. That's no way to improve a show or support a dying daypart."

Naked Cowboy's Lawyer: Blatant Disregard for Brand

The cowboy, Robert John Burck, 40, who protects his brand like the cavalry defending a wagon train from Apaches, says that B&B's Oliver dresses in briefs, a cowboy hat and acoustic guitar—Burck's trademark uniform—is depicted as a "fool" and acts in a "drunken and sexually charged manner," according to the suit.

“I had a little problem with the producer they had chosen to do season two of the show. I didn’t care for her or her creative ways. I was happy to part ways. But as an original cast member, I was sad to see the show being taken in a direction I was not proud of.”
GENERAL HOSPITAL: Scoop on the Sonny-Brenda Wedding and the Return of James Franco

And the Balkan is also going to make his move to grab Brenda," says the Emmy-winning Guza, who promises the wedding and its aftermath — airing over six days — will be epic.
