In "Convergence," the brutal attack on Cody unites friends and enemies alike, as Hap takes the opportunity to try to pull a rival into the fold. A vengeful Billy is determined to uncover the person responsible for the crime and, against his better judgment, finds himself looking to Wick for help. Meanwhile, Wick is at his wits' end when he learns of Gary's involvement and decides it's time to take matters into his own hands. And, Carla senses Hap is having an affair with Jules and she is not afraid to confront this head on.

In "Rocks and Hard Places," Wick's shortcomings are magnified when his sister, and potential rival, Lacey officially joins the family business. Meanwhile, Billy attempts to blackmail Hap with information Cody shared with him in confidence, further putting their marriage on the line. Unable to shake suspicions about his son, Hap pays a visit to Sherriff Tip, who reveals that Wick may know more about the robbery than he's letting on. Later, Gary proves a continuing threat to Wick -- but when Wick tries to fight back -- it's Cody who is put in harm's way.

In the sneak peek video below, Sheriff Tip tells Hap that Wick may know more about the robbery than he's saying.

In "The Ripple Effect," no longer suspecting Wick of any wrongdoing in the oil heist, Hap extends an olive branch when he brings his son in on an exciting new venture. But when Billy attempts to join the deal, tensions soon reach a boil. However, we will soon learn that this deal isn't quite as rosy as Hap promised. Meanwhile, Sheriff Tip arrests a prime suspect in the robbery, creating additional pressure for Wick. Hap's brush with death leaves him determined to find the culprits on tonight's episode of Blood & Oil, airing at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

In "The Ripple Effect," the aftermath of the robbery has suspicions flying as all signs indicate an inside job at Briggs Oil. Wick scrambles to do everything he can to hide his involvement, but his accomplice may prove to be too much of a wild card and expose Wick's part in the crime that nearly killed his father.

Meanwhile, the arrival of Hap's daughter, Lacey, stokes a rivalry with Carla, Hap's wife. Also, Billy continues to be seduced by Hap's world and jumps into another deal with him without consulting his wife, Cody.

'Blood & Oil' Premieres September 27 on ABC, Searching for The American Dream in Rock Springs, North Dakota

Billy and Cody Lefever head to North Dakota to pursue their dreams on the series premiere of Blood & Oil, airing Sunday, September 27 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

In the "Pilot" episode, Billy and Cody Lefever are a young, recently married couple with dreams bigger than their working-class upbringing. Following the largest oil discovery in American history, they pack up and move from their small city to the boomtown of Rock Springs, North Dakota, where a millionaire is made every day. Intent on tapping into this explosion of wealth, they set out to start their own business, which they’ve financed with every penny to their name.

After a car crash leaves them broke, Billy becomes increasingly eager to cash in on this modern day gold rush. When he tries his hand in the oil business, he crosses paths with the baron of the Bakken, Hap Briggs and his equally powerful wife, Carla, as they embark on expanding their empire into new territory. But tangling with titans is not for the faint of heart and when Billy bets big, it causes Cody to question his intentions, and ultimately their marriage.

The premiere sets up the story of Hap and Billy versus Hap's rotten son, Wick. It's an interesting beginning, and other than being set in the oil business, there was nothing that particularly reminded me of Dallas. Johnson and Crawford and appealing leads ("the good guys") while Foster is the perfect foil.
