Nathan Owens Joins DAYS OF OUR LIVES; DAYS Staying In Burbank

Nathan Owens has joined the cast of DAYS OF OUR LIVES. From the Statigram photo he posted, it looks like he will be a recast Dr. Cameron Davis, currently played by Schuyler Yancey. Owens caption on the photo: "There's a new Dr. In town...#tvdr." Stay tuned.

The 28 year old actor/model/producer is already taping scenes according to Soap Opera Digest. The magazine also put to rest rumors of the soap moving to a new studio.

After months of speculation that DAYS would be leaving the Burbank lot for the AMC/HOLLYWOOD HEIGHTS studio in Glendale, Executive Producer Ken Corday announced at the 12,000th episode celebration on set that the show was staying put.

WE LOVE SOAPS TV caught up with DAYS OF OUR LIVES actor Schuyler Yancey on the red carpet of the 39th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards.

Yancey talked about coming onto DAYS to play Lexie's brother and missing Renee Jones (Lexie) on screen and off, and having multiple things that are keep his character, Cameron, in town. DAYS is his first series regular role on a daytime soap. His previous roles were on ALL MY CHILDREN and GUIDING LIGHT.

Which fashion trends do the young cast of DAYS OF OUR LIVES like least?
“The thing I hate the most that people wear are those Affliction shirts,” said resident hunk Schuyler Yancey, who plays Cameron on the show. “Guys wearing those shirts or any kind of bedazzled jeans makes me want to vomit.”

His co-star, Casey Deidrick, was also quick to give his cents on this flashy fashion fad. He quipped, “If you wear studded shirts, just take it off. Anytime I see someone wearing Ed Hardy, I just want them to take it off immediately!”
