NBC Picks Up Anne Heche Comedy SAVE ME Plus Soapy INFAMOUS Featuring Bree Williamson; Cancels AWAKE

NBC has picked up the Anne Heche-led comedy SAVE ME for a 13-episode order.

Heche, who won an Emmy Award in 1991 for her dual role as Marley and Vicky on ANOTHER WORLD, stars as a woman who has ducked out on herself and her marriage -- that is, until a spiritual awakening has her acting differently. It marks the second new series pick-up for next season (NBC recently announced it was adding the "Matthew Perry" comedy GO ON to its lineup). Former AS THE WORLD TURNS actor Lamman Rucker also stars.
