Ronn Moss Coming To 'General Hospital' This Week

Ronn Moss, who starred as Ridge Forrester in CBS' The Bold and the Beautiful for its first 25 years, will make a special appearance on ABC soap General Hospital this week.

"I've got to move to a place where my world is able to open up, and I needed that," Moss said in a 2012 interview when he left B&B. "I was sad to leave. It was really sad to leave, but I had to because of all the things that are going on, everything. I can't pinpoint one specific thing because that would be unfair, that would diminish everything else."

Moss is also a member of the band Player, which had 2 Top 10 hits in 1977: "This Time I'm In It For Love" and the #1 smash "Baby Come Back."

Thorsten Kaye Joins THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL

ALL MY CHILDREN star Thorsten Kaye has joined the cast of THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL as the new Ridge Forrester, according to TVGuide.com. He replaces longtime star Ronn Moss, who departed the soap in 2012 after 25 years.

Kaye will make his B&B debut on December 13. Ridge will be returning from more than a year away in Paris to find his ex-wife Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) is now engaged to Bill Spencer (Don Diamont).

"I won't bring the same tools to the role as Ronn did," Kaye said, "but I do have a couple of my own. I just hope the audience will let me play with this for a bit and try to get my footing."

"I don't have a contract there anymore," Kaye explained when asked about his deal with AMC production company Prospect Park. "It's sad, you know? And I hope it all works out for them. But when you have a solid opportunity on a show that's so highly regarded, you just gotta take it."

In addition to his role as Zach Slater on ALL MY CHILDREN, Kaye's other soap roles include Ian Thornhart in PORT CHARLES, Patrick Thornhart on ONE LIFE TO LIVE and Nick Felder in SMASH.

Ronn Moss and Player Releasing First New Album In Nearly 20 Years "Too Many Reasons"

Frontiers Records is proud to announce the return of classic pop rockers, Player.  The band will release its first new album in nearly 20 years with "Too Many Reasons" due out in North America on February 26th.  "Too Many Reasons," written and produced by Peter Beckett, features twelve brand new tracks, as well as a new acoustic version of the band’s chart-topping smash hit radio staple, “Baby Come Back.”  Founding member/bassist Ronn Moss commented, “It’s wonderful to have our new music out in the world again. Our sound, our vocals, are stronger than they’ve ever been. I also believe there’s a huge market waiting for this kind of music, a market in which lyric and strong melody are still valued.”  Founding member Peter Beckett added, "I am very happy that Player is on the Frontiers label, it feels like we have found a home again. I am also thrilled with the way the CD turned out. There's a little bit of everything on there, rock, R&B, pop ballads...something for everyone."
