INTERVIEW: Rob Gorrie On ONE LIFE TO LIVE's Early Days And Rolling With The Punches

Rob Gorrie stars as Matthew Buchanan in The OnLine Network's ONE LIFE TO LIVE, currently streaming on Hulu, HuluPlus and iTunes. We Love Soaps recently caught up with Gorrie to find out how the show's launch has been for him, and what he's doing on his summer hiatus. Read our exclusive new interview below:

WE LOVE SOAPS: We spoke in early April on the ONE LIFE TO LIVE set and you were excited about the show premiering. What has the past six weeks been like for you in terms of getting fan feedback, and dealing with some backstage changes? A lot has happened during that time.

Rob Gorrie will star as Matthew Buchanan in ONE LIFE TO LIVE when the show returns (April 29 on The Online Network, available on Hulu, HuluPlus and iTunes). His previous credits include roles on shows like THE GOOD WIFE and LAW & ORDER. He was also a victim of the Oakdale Slasher when he played Nate Bradley in AS THE WORLD TURNS. We Love Soaps spoke with Rob about his career and what's ahead on ONE LIFE TO LIVE in our new interview. WE LOVE SOAPS: (after some discussion of his 2006 AS THE WORLD TURNS role) Oh, the Slasher!!
ROB GORRIE: That was my first gig. To be back on a soap after working in a couple of different genres, and growing a little bit more as an actor, is definitely a blessing for me. I feel like I didn't really get the most out of that experience and now I'm getting a second chance.

CLASSIC CLIP: Nate (Rob Gorrie) Is A Victim Of the Oakdale Slasher

ONE LIFE TO LIVE fans are looking forward to the show's return on April 29. Rob Gorrie stars as the new Matthew Buchanan. Back in the summer of 2006, he appeared in AS THE WORLD TURNS as Nate, a friend of Maddie's (Alexandra Chando) who was the second victim of the Oakdale Slasher.

"I feel hard for Maddie but she was into Casey," Gorrie explained to We Love Soaps. "I got killed off on the Slasher storyline. It was Alex Chando and Zach Roerig. He's doing his thing [on THE VAMPIRE DIARIES] and Chando is killing it too."
