Sunday Night Ratings: 'Revenge', "Resurrection' Up

Resurrection was up 5% over last week and 11% over Revenge in the
same time slot last year.
The Sunday night Nielsen Fast Affiliate Ratings are in. Check out a round of network reports below:

From ABC:
ABC Sunday Prime (7-11 p.m. - 6.4 million and 1.7/5 in AD18-49): ABC won its 2nd consecutive Sunday of the May Sweep in Adults 18-49 (1.7/5). ABC's Once Upon a Time and Resurrection once again finished as Sunday's Top 2 broadcast dramas with young adults.

· Posting its 2nd week of year-to-year gains, ABC was the only broadcaster up from the year-ago May Sweep Sunday (5.8 million and 1.6/5 on 5/5/13) in 10% in Total Viewers (+10%) and Adults 18-49 (+6%).

'Resurrection' Season Finale Preview: Arcadia Is Overcome By Both Physical And Unnatural Forces

The first season of Resurrection wraps up with the season finale episode ("Torn Apart") on Sunday, May 4 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

The town of Arcadia is in a state of chaos when the return of the deceased reaches a critical mass. Bellamy (Omar Epps) has no other choice than to ask for outside aid which backfires when Sheriff Fred (Matt Craven) steps in with his own agenda, triggering a siege on the town that no one saw coming.

'Resurrection' Preview: The Fate of Another Reappeared is in Jeopardy

The first season of Resurrection continues with a new episode ("Schemes of the Devil") on Sunday, April 27 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

With the help of Bellamy and Sheriff Fred, Tom leads the charge in the search for Rachael, but her situation becomes increasingly dire as her captors grow more desperate. Maggie and Dr. Ward continue their medical research on the resurrected subjects and a series of shocking discoveries sets them on the brink of a game changing find, however, their focus shifts when Arcadia is suddenly in the throes of an epidemic.

RESURRECTION Preview: Pastor Tom's Life is Changed Forever By a Shocking Turn of Events

The first season of RESURRECTION continues with a new episode ("Two Rivers") on Sunday, March 23 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

Exhuming Jacob's grave only deepens the mystery of his return. Henry struggles to accept that Jacob is really the son he lost 30 years ago. Bellamy and Maggie search for a connection between Jacob and Caleb's deaths and wonder if the local river may hold a clue. Their digging also unearths Caleb's criminal past - he robbed the bank his daughter Elaine works at just days before his death. Pastor Tom's life is changed forever by a shocking turn of events.

Multiplatform: RESURRECTION Premiere Delivers Nearly 22 Million Viewers to Date

Looking at TV based on the Total Viewer average audience, RESURRECTION's premiere drew 13.9 million total viewers in the Live + Same Day window, plus an additional 3.1 million timeshifted viewers in days 1-3.

The Saturday encore garnered 3.9 million viewers, and the episode was viewed 849k times across ABC's Full Episode Player, Hulu, MVPD partners and Live Linear (ABC Online) over its first 7 days.

RESURRECTION is the most-watched regular-timeslot drama debut of the season in Live+3, edging out NBC's THE BLACKLIST.

Sunday Night Ratings: RESURRECTION Remains Strong, Solid Start for CRISIS

The Sunday night Nielsen overnight ratings are in. Check out a round of reports below:

From NBC:
The premiere of CRISIS (1.6/4 in 18-49 and 6.5 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) finished within a tenth of a rating point of #1 in 18-49 among ABC, CBS and NBC in the time period, nearly erasing a deficit of 1.6 rating points behind ABC during the prior hour, and won the 10 p.m. ET slot among those nets in adults 25-54, men 18-49 and men 25-54. CRISIS built on its 18-49 lead-in by 14%, while rival dramas on ABC and CBS are flat or down versus their lead-ins. Versus NBC’s non-sports averages in the time period last year, CRISIS is running within 0.2 of a point in 18-49 (1.6 vs. 1.8, L+SD) and in total viewers is up versus last season’s non-sports slot average by 20% (6.506 million vs. 5.424 million).

RESURRECTION Preview: Bellamy Pushes to Exhume Jacob's Tomb, and the Richards Family Adjusts to Caleb's Presence In Their Lives

The first season of RESURRECTION continues with a new episode ("Unearth") on Sunday, March 16 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

The Langstons, especially Sheriff Fred, are forced to confront secrets from their past they'd rather leave buried when Bellamy pushes to have Jacob's tomb exhumed. Maggie agrees to help Bellamy in his investigation, and Pastor Tom reaches out to Jacob, his childhood friend. The Richards family adjusts to Caleb's return, the second for Arcadia. But unlike Jacob, Caleb claims he has no memory of his death.

RESURRECTION Debut Audience Soars to 17.0 Million with 3 Days of Playback


Based on Nielsen's Live + 3 Day TV playback data released this morning, ABC's Sunday debut of RESURRECTION saw its Total Viewer count surge by 3.1 million, building from 13.9 million viewers in Live + Same Day to 17.0 million in Live + 3 Days. The ABC drama debut also saw its Adult 18-49 rating spike from a 3.8 L+SD to a 5.0 L+3 rating.

RESURRECTION Opens With 13.3 Million Viewers

New ABC drama RESURRECTION opened as TV’s top-rated mid-season drama in 2 years with 13.3 million viewers. Check out what the network had to say about Sunday night's ratings below:

ABC Sunday Prime (8-11 p.m. - 7.9 million and 2.2/7 in AD18-49): With the mid-season return of ONCE UPON A TIME, the series debut of RESURRECTION and the time-period premiere of REVENGE, ABC won Sunday in Adults 18-49, outdelivering all-original lineups on Fox by 29% (1.7/5) and CBS by 38% (1.6/5). As ONCE UPON A TIME returned up +21% from its Winter Finale in Adults 18-49, all 4 of ABC’s dramas with split-season schedules came back ahead on their mid-season returns: GREY'S ANATOMY +15%, SCCANDAL +6% and ONCE UPON A TIME IN WONDERLAND +13%. ABC’s RESURRECTION opened as Sunday’s #1 broadcast in both Total Viewers (13.3 million) and Adults 18-49 (3.6/9).

ABC Announces 2013-14 Midseason Series Premiere Dates

RESURRECTION premieres Sunday, March 9 at 9 p.m. ET.  REVENGE
shifts to 10 p.m.
ABC announced midseason premiere dates today for new series THE ASSETS, KILLER WOMEN, MIND GAMES and MIXOLOGY. In addition, the network has scheduled premiere dates for the new season of THE BACHELOR with Juan Pablo Galavis, comedy SUBURGATORY, and the cooking competition series THE TASTE, now expanded to two hours. Previously announced new drama series RESURRECTION will now premiere at 9 p.m., on Sunday, March 9, and REVENGE will move into the 10:00 p.m. time slot on that date.

ABC Announces 2014 Split Season Premiere Dates

Paul Lee, president, ABC Entertainment Group, today announced the premiere dates for new midseason series RESURRECTION and THE QUEST, along with spring premiere dates for key returning series, now structured into split seasons to allow for fewer or no preemptions or repeats.

New drama RESURRECTION will premiere on Sunday, March 9 at 10:00 p.m., ET, taking over the timeslot for BETRAYAL when that show's season concludes. New alternative series THE QUEST will debut on Thursday, January 2 with a special two-hour premiere from 8:00-10:00 p.m. ET, moving into the timeslot held by ONCE UPON A TIME IN WONDERLAND, following its season finale.
