Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos to Guest Star in Premiere of Pop TV's 'Nightcap'

appear on the November 16 premiere of Nightcap.
The late night show goes on, as has Pop announced a renewal of its original scripted comedy Nightcap ahead of its season one premiere on Wednesday, Nov. 16, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Pop will premiere with two back-to-back episodes featuring guest stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos and Andy Cohen in episode one, and Gwyneth Paltrow, Jim Norton and Nate Berkus in episode two.

Nightcap is a laugh-out-loud scripted comedy starring Ali Wentworth as an overworked talent booker on the fictitious late night talk show, "Nightcap with Jimmy." Each episode offers a slew of A-list celebrity guests and all of the antics that go on behind-the-scenes of a late night set.

The network has ordered 10 episodes of Nightcap for season two with Lionsgate returning as the production studio, and Ali Wentworth, Tom Brunelle and Brad Wollack continuing as executive producers.

'Dawson's Creek' To Air Weekdays on Pop Starting September 14

Dawson's Creek will air weekdays on Pop beginning September 14.
Beginning Monday, September 14, Pop will bring fans back to Dawson's Creek, the '90s teen drama series that jumpstarted the careers of some of Hollywood’s biggest stars. Head back to Capeside High School every weekday on Pop with back-to-back episodes at 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. ET/PT on Pop, in addition to a special one-day marathon on September 14th from 12-4 p.m. ET/PT.

Dawson's Creek tells the story of four friends making the journey from adolescence to adulthood. Dawson Leery (James Van Der Beek), Joey Potter (Katie Holmes), and Pacey Witter (Joshua Jackson) have all been friends since they were little. When Jennifer Lindley (Michelle Williams), a mysterious girl with a troubled past, moves from New York to their small town, she joins with the other teens to make a foursome that will stay together through thick and thin.

Same-Day Episodes of 'Days of our Lives' to Encore on Pop Weeknights Beginning August 24

Monday, August 24.
Starting Monday, August 24, the fan-favorite daytime television drama, Days of our Lives, will encore exclusively on Pop every weeknight at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Days of our Lives is set in the fictitious Midwestern town of Salem. The core families are the Bradys, the Hortons, and the DiMeras, and the multi-layered storylines involve elements of romance, adventure, mystery, comedy and drama. The show is currently celebrating the countdown to its 50th anniversary and remains a consistent favorite among critics and fans alike. 'Days of our Lives' Same-Day Repeats to Air on Pop Starting August 24


Days of our Lives will begin airing on Pop starting August 24th at 8 p.m. ET/PT, according to the schedule on the network's website. Pop currently airs The Bold and the Beautiful at 6:30 p.m. ET, followed by The Young and the Restless at 7 p.m. ET. The same-day repeats reportedly perform very well in the ratings for the network, which rebranded to Pop from TVGN earlier this year.

Pop aired the Daytime Emmys in April, and the excellent Queens of Drama series in the Spring.

Airing Days on the network formerly known as TVGN has been discussed for a few years now, including in the leaked Sony emails published online.

We Love Soaps contacted Pop for more information and was told an official announcement is coming later today.

'Queens of Drama' Stars Model Original Wardrobe of the Late Marilyn Monroe at the Hollywood Museum

In honor of Marilyn Monroe's birthday, The Hollywood Museum has brought international collectors together to showcase an unprecedented exhibit from June 1st to Sept 6th. Among the items on display will be Monroe's childhood, film costumes, public appearance gowns, personal clothing, jewelry, furniture, make-up, medication (found on the nightstand, the night of her death), memorabilia and much more. An advance viewing was held at The Hollywood Museum on Wednesday, May 27 featiromg Queens of Drama stars Lindsay Hartley, Donna Mills, Chrystee Pharris and Crystal Hunt modeling some of Marilyn's wardrobe.

Lindsay is wearing one of Marilyn's favorite every day outfits. Donna is wearing the reproduction of the famous "Happy Birthday, Mr. President" dress worn by the actress who played Marilyn Monroe in The women of Camelot. Crystal is wearing a dress from the movie Let's Make Love. Chrystee is wearing Marilyn Monroe's famous USO down that she wore to visit the troops.

For the exhibit, Donelle Dadigan (Founder and President of The Hollywood Museum and owner of the Max Factor building) has purchased and secured the copyrights to hundreds of never before seen rare photos of Marilyn Monroe, uncovered by the son of Monroe photographer, Milton Greene. The images include promotional photo shoots as well as candid images taken with friends and colleagues such as Milton Berle, Maurice Chevalier, Sammy Davis, Jr., Marlene Dietrich, Louella Parsons, Billy Wilder, Frank Sinatra, etc.

Queens of Drama airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Pop.

Preview: Lorenzo Lamas Guest Stars On This Week's 'Queens of Drama'

Falcon Crest alum Lorenzo Lamas guest stars on this week's episode of Queens of Drama, airing Wednesday, May 27 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Pop. The "queens" are ready to audition actors for their new series and Lamas shows them what he's got.

"This is so surreal," says Crystal Hunt (Guiding Light, One Life to Live).

"Do you mind doing the scene with your shirt off?" asks Chrystee Pharris (Passions).

Meanwhile, things get tense between Lindsay Hartley (Passions, All My Children) and Hunter Tylo (The Bold and the Beautiful, All My Children) after Hartley retweets an "ease up on the surgery" message to Tylo.

At some point, Crystal Hunt became the level-headed, has-it-together "queen of drama." When did that happen?

'The Talk' Post-Daytime Emmy Awards Special Airs Monday, April 27

CBS' The Talk will salute the 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards with a special show on Monday, April 27. Hosts Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood will be joined live in-studio by some of Sunday night’s biggest winners for a post-Emmy celebration.

This year marks the fourth time The Talk has paid tribute to Daytime Emmy winners on the show the following day.

Also on Monday, lifestyle expert Chi-Lan Lieu will showcase the hottest award show swag.

Two encores of this special episode of The Talk will air on Pop on Monday, April 27 at 8 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. ET/PT.

The 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards ceremony airs live exclusively on Pop on Sunday, April 26 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, followed by the premiere of Queens of Pop.

Pop TV to Premiere 'Queens of Drama' after Daytime Emmy Awards on Sunday, April 26

Six former daytime and primetime soap stars take control of their careers to produce and star in a new serialized drama, in the series premiere of Queens of Drama on Pop, Sunday, April 26, at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, immediately following the network’s exclusive live broadcast of the 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.

Following its premiere, Queens of Drama will begin airing in its regularly scheduled time slot on Wednesdays, (8:00-8:30 p.m. ET/PT) starting April 29.

Queens of Drama features a powerful, all-star cast of soap’s leading ladies, while tapping into the sensibility of female empowerment, taking charge and having it all,” said Paul Adler, Senior Vice President, Programming, Pop. “We’re excited to give fans a new perspective of these women with a reality series that debuts immediately following Pop’s exclusive live broadcast of the Daytime Emmys.”

Joan Collins to Guest Star in 'Queens of Drama'

Joan Collins (Alexis, Dynasty; Alexandra, Guiding Light) will guest star on an upcoming episode of Pop's new series Queens of Drama, according to The Wrap.

Queens of Drama is a docu-series featuring daytime and primetime soaps stars as they attempt to produce a new primetime serial drama to star in. The cast will need to work in front of and behind the cameras as they develop, pitch, and produce this new steamy series hoping to land a pilot deal by the end of the season.

The all-star cast includes Lindsay Hartley (All My Children, Days Of Our Lives), Crystal Hunt (Guiding Light, One Life To Live), Vanessa Marcil (Beverly Hills, 90210, General Hospital), Chrystee Pharris (Passions, General Hospital) and Hunter Tylo (The Bold and The Beautiful). Mills, an alum of Knots Landing and Melrose Place currently starring in General Hospital, will make special appearances on the program.

Queens of Drama will premiere when TV Guide Network rebrands to its new name and programming lineup in early 2015.

Lindsay Hartley, Crystal Hunt, Vanessa Marcil, Chrystee Pharris & Hunter Tylo Set to Star in Docu-Series 'Queens of Drama'

POP, a new network which announced its rebranding last month from TVGN as a place to celebrate the fun of being a fan, will premiere more than 400 hours of fan-fueled original programming next year, including Queens of Drama, from the producers of Hatfields & McCoys and Gene Simmons Family Jewels.

Queens of Drama is a docu-series following a group of former daytime and primetime soap stars as they attempt to produce a new primetime serial drama to star in. The cast will need to work in front of and behind the cameras as they develop, pitch, and produce this new steamy series hoping to land a pilot deal by the end of the season.

The all-star cast is made up of Lindsay Hartley (All My Children, Days Of Our Lives), Crystal Hunt (Guiding Light, One Life To Live) Vanessa Marcil (Beverly Hills, 90210, General Hospital), Chrystee Pharris (Passions, General Hospital) and Hunter Tylo (The Bold and The Beautiful), together with Donna Mills (Knots Landing, Melrose Place), who will make special appearances on the program.

Queens of Drama is being produced by Thinkfactory Media, with Adam Reed, Adam Freeman, Aaron Fishman, Tim Laurie, and Leslie Greif, serving as Executive Producers.

Launching in early 2015, POP will provide viewers with a multi-platform destination that creates content around the things popping in fan culture.

TVGN (TV Guide Network) to Rebrand as 'POP'

TVGN (TV Guide Network), the entertainment channel owned by CBS Corporation and Lionsgate, seen in more than 80 million homes and delivering its highest primetime audiences in more than five years, announced today that it will rebrand as POP, a multi-platform destination dedicated to celebrating the fun of being a fan.

Leslie Moonves, President and CEO of CBS Corporation, and Jon Feltheimer, CEO of Lionsgate, said, “POP is an exciting new chapter for a cable network that has made great progress and generated significant ratings momentum over the past year. Our new brand not only positions the channel for continued growth, but reflects its identity, focus and fan base.”
