Showtime Releases Full-Length Trailer for PENNY DREADFUL


In anticipation of the Sunday, May 11th premiere, Showtime has released the full-length trailer of its highly-anticipated drama series PENNY DREADFUL. Currently in production in Ireland, the eight-episode series stars Josh Hartnett, Timothy Dalton and Eva Green. Watch it below:

Showtime Announces Spring 2014 Schedule

Today, Showtime announced premiere dates for a number of its highly-anticipated new and returning programs this Spring. Beginning Sunday, April 13, the sweeping docu-series YEARS OF LIVING DANGEROUSLY makes its debut in time for Earth Day at 10 p.m., immediately following the season six premiere of NURSE JACKIE, starring Edie Falco, at 9 p.m. and the seventh and final season of CALIFORNICATION, starring David Duchovny, at 9:30 p.m. SHOWTIME's new series PENNY DREADFUL, the psychological thriller starring Eva Green and Josh Hartnett, premieres on Sunday, May 11 at 10 p.m.

NURSE JACKIE stars actress Edie Falco in her Emmy Award-winning role as Jackie Peyton, a strong-willed and brilliant - but very flawed - emergency room nurse. Emmy Award nominee Clyde Phillips serves as showrunner and executive producer. Richie Jackson and Tom Straw and also serve as executive producers. The series also stars Merritt Wever, Paul Schulze, Dominic Fumusa, Anna Deavere Smith, Stephen Wallem, Betty Gilpin, Adam Ferrara, Ruby Jerins, Mackenzie Aladjem and Peter Facinelli. Morris Chestnut is the season six special guest star.

Showtime Releases Teaser Video for PENNY DREADFUL

Today, Showtime released an early tease for its highly-anticipated drama series PENNY DREADFUL, which is currently in production in Ireland, for a spring 2014 premiere. The series stars Josh Hartnett, Eva Green, Timothy Dalton, Reeve Carney, Rory Kinnear, Harry Treadaway, Billie Piper and Danny Sapani.

In PENNY DREADFUL, some of literature's most famously terrifying characters - including Dr. Frankenstein, Dorian Gray and iconic figures from the novel "Dracula," all brilliantly reimagined in a whole new light - have become embroiled in Victorian London.

Billie Piper to Star in PENNY DREADFUL on Showtime

British actress Billie Piper (DOCTOR WHO) has just signed on to star in the highly anticipated Showtime drama series PENNY DREADFUL, which will begin filming this fall for a 2014 premiere on the network. Piper will play "Brona Croft," an Irish immigrant to Victorian London trying to escape a dark and sordid past.

She joins recently announced stars Josh Hartnett, Timothy Dalton, Eva Green, Reeve Carney, Rory Kinnear and Harry Treadaway.

Timothy Dalton Joins Showtime Drama PENNY DREADFUL

Renowned film and television star Timothy Dalton (James Bond in The Living Daylights and License to Kill) has been cast in the new Showtime drama series PENNY DREADFUL, which will begin filming this fall for a 2014 premiere on the network. Dalton is set to play Sir Malcolm, a hardened African explorer on a deeply personal quest. He joins recently announced stars Josh Hartnett and Eva Green.

PENNY DREADFUL is a frightening psychological thriller created, written and executive produced by three-time Oscar nominee John Logan and executive produced by Logan's Desert Wolf Productions, along with Oscar winner Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Skyfall) and Pippa Harris, both of Neal Street.
