Scandalous with Jennifer Hudson, a PSA For The Affordable Care Act

Jennifer Hudson is searching for a scandal in a new Funny or Die video but the Affordable Care Act fixes all of them. The PSA aims to raise awareness about how the Affordable Care Act works. The White House has tapped other A-list stars, such as Oprah Winfrey and Alicia Keys, to help spread the word about the ACA (also known as Obamacare). Mary Beth Evans Records Radio Spots to Promote Fostering and Adoption in Antelope Valley

Soap star Mary Beth Evans, best known for her performance as Kayla Brady Johnson on NBC’s daytime drama DAYS OF OUR LIVES, is the new voice of RaiseAChild.US in Antelope Valley, California. Two radio PSAs (public service announcements) recorded by Evans will be playing in late May on stations KGMX, KOSS, KMVE and KTPI to promote fostering and adoption by the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

Two radio spots will air. One PSA invites “all kinds of families” to foster and adopt. The other PSA specifically encourages the LGBT community to build families through fostering and adoption.

There are currently 400,000 children in the U.S. foster care system. In an effort to reduce that number and find safe and loving homes for those children, RaiseAChild.US encourages the LGBT community to build their families through fostering and adoption. In June, RaiseAChild.US will be partnering with Penny Lane, a public adoption agency in Antelope Valley with offices throughout Southern California, to reach new prospective parents. Through RaiseAChild.US’s media campaigns and outreach in the last 18 months, the organization has already recruited 800 prospective parents.

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS (Y&R) is partnering with THE TALK’s Sharon Osbourne and her son, television personality and producer Jack Osbourne, to raise awareness for multiple sclerosis through a CBS Cares PSA. The PSA campaign is running in concert with a storyline on Y&R to be broadcast on Friday, February 22.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES Alzheimer's Awareness PSA

DAYS OF OUR LIVES actress, Peggy McCay, helps create awareness for Alzheimer's disease in a new Public Service Annoucement. Her character, Caroline Brady, has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's - a disease that more than 5 million Americans are living with today. McCay's co-star, Mary Beth Evans (Kayla), also appears in the PSA. Watch it below:

GLEE's Naya Rivera and Cory Montieth Star In Anti-Bullying PSAs

GLEE's Naya Rivera and Cory Montieth star in a new PSA series explaining what parents and kids can do to take a stand against bullying, and asking them to visit thebullyproject.com. The PSAs are being released in conjunction with the film Bully, which opened in theaters in New York and Los Angeles on Friday.

The PSAs were filmed during the 23rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York City, which Rivera and Montieth hosted. The videos feature the stars asking Americans to teach kids to be “motivating, accepting, and supporting. To accept people for who they are and to stand up for other people.”
