'As the World Turns' Alum Julianne Moore Wins Oscar for 'Still Alice'

Julianne Moore
Former As the World Turns actress Julianne Moore, who won a Daytime Emmy Award in 1988 for her portrayal of Frannie and Sabrina on the soap, won her first Academy Award on Sunday night. Moore earned the Oscar after brilliantly playing renowned linguistics professor Alice Howland, whose family bonds are tested following her Alzheimer's diagnosis. Alec Baldwin (The Doctors, Knots Landing) plays her husband.

Facebook Releases the Most Social Moments of The Oscars

The Facebook data team looked at all the conversation around the Oscars last night and found that 11.1 million people had over 25.4 million interactions (posts, comments and likes). The top social moments on Facebook were:

1. 12 Years a Slave wins Best Picture

2. Jared Leto wins Best Supporting Actor and thanks his mom

3. Matthew McConaughey wins Best Actor

Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron today announced the complete slate of stars who will present Oscars at the ceremony. The Oscars, hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, will air on Oscar Sunday, March 2, live on ABC.

Nominations for the 85th Academy Awards were announced today (Thursday, January 10) by this year's Oscars host, Seth MacFarlane, and actress Emma Stone. 

The Oscar telecast will air on February 24 on ABC at 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT.
