Nina Tassler Stepping Down as Chairman of CBS Entertainment at the End of 2015

Nina Tassler, who has led CBS Entertainment since 2004, will step down from her current role as Chairman at the end of the year and pass leadership for the Division to a key lieutenant. Tassler will continue with the Company in an advisory role through at least 2017.

At the same time, Glenn Geller, who currently oversees Current Programming for both CBS Entertainment and CBS Television Studios, has been named President, CBS Entertainment, and will head the Network’s entertainment programming and creative affairs. In his new position, Geller will lead entertainment programming for primetime, daytime and late night, as well as program development in all genres, including comedy, drama, reality, specials and long-form.

The announcement of this transition was made today by Leslie Moonves, President and CEO, CBS Corporation, to whom Geller will now report. Moonves said Geller will assume his full duties as President of the Division effective immediately. During the transition, he will work closely with Tassler, who will remain Chairman until the end of 2015.

Note: In her role as Executive Vice President, Daytime Programs and Syndicated Program Development, Angelica McDaniel oversees the CBS daytime lineup and currently reports to Tassler.

'Twin Peaks' Cast Reunites in Los Angeles 23 Years After Series Run'
The stars of the cult hit but short-lived TV show got together at the Vista Theatre in Los Angeles. The reunion was in celebration of the release of Twin Peaks - The Entire Mystery, a Blu-Ray/DVD collection containing all 30 episodes of the ABC show.

Wendy Williams has also boarded the TV movie that was previously set to star Zendaya Coleman.

'Hollyoaks' overtakes 'EastEnders' as UK's most violent soap
According to new research from Ofcom, Channel 4's teen drama had 11.5 violent scenes per hour in 2013, up from 2.1 in 2002. By contrast, violence in EastEnders has dropped, from 6.1 scenes per hour in 2002 to 2.1 per hour today.

Nina Tassler Promoted to Chairman, CBS Entertainment

CBS Corporation (NYSE: CBS.A and CBS) announced that Nina Tassler has been promoted to Chairman of CBS Entertainment, and has signed a new agreement with the Company that extends through 2017. The announcement was made today by CBS Corporation President and CEO Leslie Moonves, to whom Tassler continues to report.

In this expanded role, Tassler will lead the Network's Entertainment programming across primetime, daytime and late night, as well as program development in all genres, including comedy, drama, reality, specials and long-form. She will direct a growing year-round programming portfolio that now includes a full slate of original series in the summer and a newly created limited series and live event program unit. Tassler will also oversee Entertainment division matters in advertising and promotion, business affairs, consumer products, digital/interactive, diversity, publicity, scheduling and research.

UNDER THE DOME Renewed For Summer 2014 Second Season

UNDER THE DOME, television's #1 summer series in viewers and key demographics, will return in summer 2014 with 13 new episodes, it was announced today by Nina Tassler, President, CBS Entertainment.

Stephen King, whose bestselling novel is the basis for the series, will write the premiere episode of the second season.

"We're excited to tell more stories about the mystery of the dome and the secrets in Chester's Mill, and are thrilled to have the master storyteller himself, Stephen King, tell the first one of next season," said CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler.
