NEWS: Nathan Fillion, Justin Hartley & Chrishell Stause, Jen Franz, Lois Robbins, Kimberly McCullough, Misty Rowe

One Life to Live Nathan Fillion: "Anyone who talks down on daytime (television), and I never will, has never done daytime"
“It wasn’t like one show a week,” he says of his three years playing Joey Buchanan, “it was every day. We didn’t do cue cards. I’ve heard rumors of cue cards. Even the older, older guys did not use cue cards. They were seasoned pros. Anyone who talks down on daytime (television), and I never will, has never done daytime. It is a mountain of work. It is 40 pages a day.

“It’s a muscle. It’s like you start doing pushups. If you do pushups every day for three years by the end of it you can do a lot of pushups. I’m pretty sure by the end of three years that memorizing, that taking of the words and letting them live, was a muscle I flexed pretty well.”

TV and soap actress Lois Robbins discusses new play 'L.O.V.E.R.'
In the daytime world, Robbins is best known for her acting work on such soap operas as One Life to Live, Ryan's Hope and All My Children. "Those were a long time ago, but I think it is the single best training for an actor. I loved them and I loved having the steady job. I learned 40 pages of dialogue a night, so it was not that hard to memorize 90 pages of dialogue for L.O.V.E.R. Daytime really trains you to memorize."

The Daily Show executive producer Jen Flanz was once an intern at One Life to Live
"The idea of going to law school fueled a fire in me that I've never had before—I was like, I just can’t. I’ve got to get a million internships! So I did a bunch of internships, I did CBS local news and One Life to Live and VH1 Storytellers—I was there for the first Behind The Music, which makes me feel old. The Rosie O’Donnell Show when Rosie was still on the air…I did all of these internships."

Justin Hartley & fiancee Chrishell Stause head to Monaco for Monte-Carlo TV Festival
“We made it, our bags did not,” Stause (ex-Amanda, All My Children) shared with fans on Instagram, along with the photo below. “When life gives you πŸ‹πŸ‹, add vodka! #MonteCarlo #FTV17 #festivaltvmc.”

She added on Twitter, “@British_Airways just gave me pajamas for my flight! Best thing of all time πŸ™ŒπŸΌOnly made better that she called it a ‘sleeper suit’ ❤️.”

General Hospital star Kimberly McCullough gives birth to a son
McCullough announced on social media she has given birth to a son.

"Baby Otis was born today June 7th. To quote Mary J 'I never knew there was a love like this before,'" the 39-year-old actress tweeted with a photo of her newborn's tiny feet.

"Sorry I was so tired. It's Faith Evans, not MJ," she followed up the next day.

Hee Haw star Misty recalls marriage to James DePaiva
Rowe said she married a waiter and, because money was scarce, they had their reception at producer Sam Lovullos's home. Kenny Rogers (yes, that Kenny Rogers) shot the wedding portrait. Rogers was part of the Hee Haw family at the time because he was married to Gordon.

Rowe said her waiter husband became a soap opera star and, six months after the wedding, he ran off with another soap opera person. Soon after, she began a long association with the theater show “Always... Patsy Cline.”

Priyanka Chopra and John Stamos
The People's Choice Awards, hosted this year by Glee star Jane Lynch, honor the year's pop-culture favorites from movies, TV, music, gaming and social media.

Quantico star Priyanka Chopra's acceptance speech for the People's Choice Award was emotional, but perhaps a tad too long for General Hospital alum and Grandfathered winner John Stamos. Priyanka went on a thanking spree when she clinched the Favorite Actress In A New TV Series award, but her speech was cut short by Stamos when he quipped: “It’s just a two-hour show.” -'

NEWS: Samantha Womack, Nolan North, Nathan Fillion, Manu Bennett, 'Nashville' Season 4 Poster

Nashville Season 4 premieres September 23 on ABC.
Nashville Season 4 Poster Hints at Deacon's Fate
Although Rayna (Connie Britton) is front and center in the new poster for the returning ABC drama, all eyes are on Deacon (Charles Esten), who looks alive and well in the wake of season three's heart-stopping – pun intended – season three cliffhanger.

In the finale, Rayna's main man went under the knife to receive a liver transplant from his sister Beverly (Dana Wheeler-Nicholson). A flat line popped up during their joint surgery, but viewers were left wondering who died.

Study Says Women Are Still Underrepresented on TV in Front of the Cameras and Behind the Scenes
In the 2014-2015 television season, women accounted for 40 percent of the speaking characters in broadcast, cable and Netflix programs. (For the cable figures, Ms. Lauzen studied A&E, AMC, FX, HBO, History, Showtime, TNT and USA.) This is the same percentage from the 2013-2014 season, and down slightly from 2012-2013 (42 percent).

Behind the scenes, women collectively comprise just 25 percent of television’s creators, producers, directors, writers, editors and directors of photography. While the proportion of female series creators is up — 22 percent, compared with 19 percent last year — the percentage of female writers and directors has gone down slightly.

EastEnders star Samantha Womack is being terrorized by ‘obsessed oddball stalker’
Womack, who plays Ronnie Mitchell on the soap, has apparently contacted the police and stepped up her home security after a fan camped outside of her house and sent her a "sinister love letter." Speaking about the terrifying ordeal, a source told The Sun newspaper: “This stalker has been completely obsessed with her and has been sleeping outside her house so that he can spy on her.

The family are terrified that he will try to get into the grounds of the property or even the house.

BBC chief Tony Hall apologizes after suggesting radio soap The Archers – made in Birmingham – had become “EastEnders in a field”
The Archers' editor Sean O’Connor revealed that director general Lord Hall called him directly to say he was sorry for comments in an article in the Radio Times. Lord Hall warned the radio soap’s executives not to “lose what is precious” from the show during an interview earlier this year.

O’Connor said: “I was a bit annoyed, but he rang me at 7.30 in the morning and said that he was terribly sorry. And I said: ‘You do know it’s getting an extra 3.5 million listeners on the podcast? That it’s doing as well as it did in the 50s?’ And he said he apologized and we were doing a wonderful job.”

Where Are They Now: Port Charles alum Nolan North is the Biggest Voice in Video Games
After Port Charles (he played Chris Ramsey), other actors told North to try cartoons, which offered residuals. But compared to what he was used to, games were good money. “You have a wife and two kids, and they say there’s $800 across town,” he says. “‘Go over there and yell like a zombie or a monster or a soldier, do you wanna do it?’ I started on the soap opera for $700 a show. And you’re like, ‘I used to work 14 hours for 700 bucks. Now you want me for two hours?’”

NEWS: Michael Muhney, Marc Anthony Samuel, Lea Michele, HEROES Comic, WALKING DEAD Poster, Jim Beaver, Shailene Woodley, Nathan Fillion

Veronica Mars Movie: Is Michael Muhney returning as Sheriff Lamb?
In addition to to giving details about the official fan event happening independent of their Comic-Con panel, Rob Thomas also shared a very interesting photo from the set. The picture is pretty simple, a photo of someone's trailer door. However, the mystery comes with the name written on a piece of tape attached to the trailer, Sheriff Lamb. Marshmallows will remember that Sheriff Don Lamb (played by Michael Muhney) was killed in the third season, after being hit in the head with a baseball bat.

So, is Muhney returning? If so, how do they explain this one away? Is it something as simple as a flashback scene, or is it a case of Zombie Sheriff Lamb? A very plausible explanation could be that Lamb's little brother or sister is now Sheriff of Balboa County, where the show is set. It won't take long to find out for sure, as Thomas promises to explain the photo Wednesday (July 17). At that time, he'll also unveil a special website just for Kickstarter backers.

Marc Anthony Samuel confident his gay character on GENERAL HOSPTIAL will get love interest
"He will, he definitely will," Samuel says. "I don't know anything yet but that"s what it sounds like will happen. I think overall that"s what they"d like to see. Felix can"t be going after straight guys all the time. He knows better."

"I love everyone associated with it," he says of GH. "They are so behind the whole storyline for Felix - developing him and creating a world for him and introducing him to the Port Charles community - not making him this kind of fly by night character."

"It's been a privilege to work with people who I've seen over the years on TV," he adds. "It's kind of surreal a little bit too. I'm working with people who have been in my pop culture psyche for years. It"s been a great ride."

GLEE, Grief, and Teen Rites of Passage
Strengths and weaknesses abound. But whatever else it's about, the show is about how it feels to grow up. Mostly it feels bad! Sometimes it feels good, though. Sometimes it's empowering, sometimes we surprise ourselves. Sometimes we win. Sometimes villains get their comeuppance, but often they do not. The pursuit of fairness is frequently a letdown. Sometimes our parents disappoint us, and sometimes we disappoint them. Sometimes we're inundated with support or recognition, and sometimes we're desperately, frighteningly alone. Being a teenager is not easy. Sometimes, our friends die.

THE GOOD WIFE Taking Late Hits by NFL Overruns
The show's relocation this season to Sunday nights has resulted in the loss of about 2 million viewers — and outright frustration for a number of its fans, especially those who make a point to record the episodes on DVRs.

The problem is one that shows on CBS have lived with for a generation: late-afternoon National Football League games that run past their scheduled broadcast time. This season, for example, THE GOOD WIFE has started as late as 9:29 p.m. Eastern time — as it did on Oct. 30 — not at 9 p.m. as scheduled.
