5th Annual Indie Series Awards: Complete List of Nominations

Nominees for the 5th Annual Indie Series Awards were revealed in a special episode of We Love Soaps TV earlier today. The ISAs celebrate the best in independently produced, scripted entertainment created for the Web.

Hustling led all web series with 9 nominations. Out With Dad was next among Dramas receiving 8 nominations, followed by DeVanity and Progress with 7, with EastSiders and Thurston earning 6.

Among Comedies, Wrecked led with 7 nominations, followed by Bloomers and Husbands with 6. Noirhouse and Professional Friend each received 5.

A record-breaking 56 web series received at least one nomination.

"We had an all-time high number of shows submitted this year," said Roger Newcomb, founder of the Indie Series Awards and editorial director of We Love Soaps.  "The shows that have been nominated in the past keep getting better and the new series blew us away."

The 5th Annual ISAs will take place on April 2 at the historic El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood, hosted by Carolyn Hennesy, who received a nomination in the "Best Guest Star - Comedy" category for her work on Single Siblings.

WATCH: This Week's MY SYNTHESIZED LIFE With Guest Stars Alexis Zibolis, Katie Gill, Stacey Oristano & Lili Mirojnick

Two episodes of the new hit comedy web series MY SYNTHESIZED LIFE were released this week. In Episode 5, Jimmy (Brent Bailey) meets Steve (Jonathan Schwartz) for happy hour and it turns into quite a night. Katie Gill, Stacey Oristano (who was fabulous in FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS) and Lili Mirojnick guest star.

Then in Episode 6, it's the next day and DEVANITY star Alexis Zibolis joins the fun.

MY SYNTHESIZED LIFE creator Nate Golon gave us the scoop on his show's next episode. Fan favorite actors Nicolas Coster and Cindy Pickett  debut on Tuesday in Episode #3.  Thanks, Nate, for this preview photo!

Coster has starred in just about every daytime soap opera including SANTA BARBARA, AS THE WORLD TURNS and ANOTHER WORLD. He was nominated for an Indie Soap Award in 2012 for his work on THE BAY. Pickett has starred in GUIDING LIGHT, ST. ELSEWHERE and, of course, as Ferris Bueller's mom. We Love Soaps spoke with Pickett last year just before she was about the shoot her first scenes in her first web series. She told us about meeting with Golon and being sold right away.

Nate Golon's notable new comedy MY SYNTHESIZED LIFE premiered this week with two episodes. Brent Bailey is pitch perfect as Jimmy Bales, a 25 year old man whose voice naturally synthesizes after getting electrocuted by his car radio. With sharp guest appearances from actors like Sean Hemeon (HUSBANDS), Marissa Jaret Winokur ("Hairspray"), Marie Wilson (AS THE WORLD TURNS) and Barrett Foa (NCIS), this show has the star power. But does it make you laugh? The premiere of web series MY SYNTHESIZED LIFE is finally here. Created by Nate Golon, MY SYNTHESIZED LIFE is a comedy about a young man (Brent Bailey) whose voice naturally synthesizes after he gets electrocuted by his radio while listening a rap song in his car.

Jimmy Bales, a 25 year old average office worker, narrowly survives a near car crash, gets electrocuted, and blacks out. From that moment on, whenever he gets nervous, his voice naturally synthesizes. He life is thrown into turmoil, but through the help of his outgoing roommate Steve, and Steve's younger sister Liz, Jimmy discovers the benefits of his synthesized life.

Actress Cindy Pickett has been beloved by fans of her work for decades, from her role in Roger Vadim's Night Games or as Ferris Bueller's mom to primetime characters such as ST. ELSEHWERE's Dr. Carol Novino and CALL TO GLORY's Vanessa Sarnac. But no matter how many great successes followed, Daytime fans still remember her fondly for her work as Jackie Marler in GUIDING LIGHT from 1976 to 1980.

And she gets recognized as that character to this day! Pickett is now embarking on a new journey in the Indie world, a role opposite Nicolas Coster in the upcoming web series MY SYNTHESIZED LIFE, which features a cast full of familiar faces.

The gorgeous and talented Alexis Zibolis from DEVANITY is the latest star to sign on for upcoming web series MY SYNTHESIZED LIFE. Zibolis will play the role of Natalie, a party girl, and one of the best friends of the lead female character, Liz, played by Katie Gill.

MY SYNTHESIZED LIFE is a comedy about a young man whose voice naturally synthesizes after he survives a near car crash. Created, produced, and directed by Nate Golon, the show stars Brent Bailey as the lead character, Jimmy Bales. Jonathan Schwartz plays Jimmy's best friend, Steve.
