Morgan Englund, best known as Dylan Lewis on the classic CBS soap opera Guiding Light, launched an Indiegogo campaign on May 3 in an effort to raise $10,000 to make a music video for his song "Homeward Bound (A Firefighter’s Song)." As of today, Morgan had raised $6,148 toward his goal.Englund stepped away from acting and spent 17 years a paramedic and twelve years as a firefighter while he raised his two children as a single father. Recently, he has made the decision to end his time as paramedic and firefighter to focus on his dream of being a musician. Music is in his family as his great uncle, Jack Albertson, performed on vaudeville and is also best known as Grandpa Joe in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971); his mother, Academy Award-winning actress Cloris Leachman; is a concert level pianist; and his daughter Anabel Englund is singer-songwriter best known for her collaborative work with electronic music group Hot Natured.
