'Downton Abbey' Final Season premieres January 3 on PBS; Series Finale to Air March 6

The top PBS drama of all time approaches its climactic chapter when the final season of Downton Abbey premieres January 3, 2016, on Masterpiece.

The year is 1925. Momentous changes threaten the great house, and its owners and its servants, while past scandals loom. The beloved ensemble is back for the farewell season, closing the book on a television legend.

Downton Abbey will air Sundays, January 3 - February 21 at 9 p.m. ET. The series finale will air March 6 at 9 p.m. ET.

DOWNTON ABBEY Preview: Estate Management, Anna's Secret and a New Ally for Thomas

Season 4 of DOWNTON ABBEY continues on PBS' MASTERPIECE on Sunday, January 26 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Questions of estate management pit Mary (Michelle Dockery) and Tom against Robert, while Bates' questions about Anna's (Joanne Froggatt) suffering pressure Mrs. Hughes. Thomas installs a new ally, Violet hires a new gardener, and Alfred (Matt Milne) cooks up some ambition.

DOWNTON ABBEY Preview: Mary, Edith, Tom and Anna Each Struggle With A Dilemma

Love is in the air at Downton Abbey and darker emotions too, as Mary (Michelle Dockery), Edith (Laura Carmichael), Tom (Allen Leech), and Anna (Joanne Froggatt) each struggle with a dilemma. Things are cooking for Ivy (Cara Theobold) and Alfred (Matt Milne) , and heating up in London.

Clark (ex-Carrie, DAYS) and her husband, Thomas Barnes, have welcomed their third daughter, Charlotte Joy. Tweeted the proud mom, "Baby Charlotte. " Charlie" Joy was born on Aug 6 th 2013! 8 Pds 4 oz! Everyone is thrilled to bits over here!!!!" Charlie joins older sisters Hannah, 5, and Emma, 2.

As senior VP of daytime programing for CBS Entertainment, she oversees more than 1,000 episodes of TV every season for the network—and checks her BlackBerry for the prior day's ratings before she even gets out of bed. CBS president Nina Tassler calls her a "force of nature."

Words she lives by: "Don't get stuck in the frenzy of the day to day. You have to be aware of the bigger picture."

Chloe Grace Moretz Offered HOLLYOAKS Role
Moretz revealed she became hooked on the teen drama during a stint filming in Britain, and she mentioned her obsession during a chat on Radio 1 on Tuesday, August 6th.

WINNERS: 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards

DOWNTON ABBEY won for Outstanding Performance by an
Ensemble in a Drama Series
SAG-AFTRA presented its coveted Actor® statuette for the outstanding motion picture and primetime television performances of 2012 at the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in ceremonies attended by film and television’s leading actors, held Sunday, January 27, at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center.

Honored with individual awards were Daniel Day-Lewis, Anne Hathaway, Tommy Lee Jones and Jennifer Lawrence for performances in motion pictures and Alec Baldwin, Bryan Cranston, Kevin Costner, Claire Danes, Tina Fey and Julianne Moore for performances in television.

DOWNTON ABBEY Covers TV Guide: The Year of the Soap Continues

In the first TV Guide cover for any primetime PBS show in over 30 years, DOWNTON ABBEY has landed on the cover of the magazine this week (Feb. 6 issue date).

Dan Stevens (Matthew) and Michelle Dockery (Lady Mary) are the cover models and look fabulous!

The second season of DOWNTON is currently running on Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET on PBS. In the story, World War I has just ended but drama is always just around the corner. If you haven't started watching yet, we highly recommend you give it a try.
