Preview of Tonight's 'Masters of Sex': Below the Belt

The second season of Showtime drama Masters of Sex continues on Sunday, September 14 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

In this week's episode, titled "Below the Belt," Johnson (Lizzy Caplan) tries to find a cure for Masters' sexual difficulties; Masters (Michael Sheen) learns of a rival study and tries to brand his work; Flo (Artemis Pebdani) informs Langham (Teddy Sears) that he must have sex with her in order to keep his job; Barbara (Betsy Brandt) and Lester (Kevin Christy) connect over their shared sexual dysfunctions; Libby (Caitlin FitzGerald) asks Johnson to give her an alibi while she canvases a tenement for a rent strike with CORE.

Preview of Tonight's 'Masters of Sex': Story of My Life

The second season of Showtime drama Masters of Sex continues on Sunday, September 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

In this week's episode, titled "Story of My Life," Masters (Michael Sheen) bristles at Frank's (Christian Borle) insinuations about his and Estabrooks' (Ann Dowd) demons; Virginia (Lizzy Caplan) uses a patient's case history to gain advice from a psychiatrist; Betty (Annaleigh Ashford) and Masters try to remedy Lester's (Kevin Christy) impotence by hiring a prostitute; Barbara (Betsy Brandt) gets an unsettling diagnosis that threatens to expose a chain of secrets.

The 12-episode first season of Showtime's MASTERS OF SEX premieres Sunday, September 29 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. MASTERS OF SEX stars Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan, who will portray the real-life pioneers of the science of human sexuality, William Masters and Virginia Johnson.

The series chronicles the unusual lives, romance and pop culture trajectory of Masters and Johnson. Their research touched off the sexual revolution and took them from a mid-western teaching hospital in St. Louis to the cover of Time magazine. The show is an adaptation of Thomas Maier's book Masters of "Sex: The Life and Times of William Masters and Virginia Johnson, The Couple Who Taught America How To Love."
