Statement from Hallmark Channel Regarding MARIE Starring Marie Osmond

Hallmark Channel has issued the following statement regarding MARIE, starring world renown entertainer Marie Osmond:
Hallmark Channel is in a phase of true transformation to a much more diversified portfolio of family friendly entertainment that includes original movies and acquired series in addition to original primetime scripted series and a full original daytime line up. With so many talk show offerings in the daypart, particularly in broadcast syndication, Hallmark Channel has decided not to greenlight a second season of its Critics Choice Award nominated talk show, Marie, starring Marie Osmond.

PREVIEW: Corbin Bernsen To Appear On MARIE June 5th (Video)

On the Wednesday, June 5th episode of Hallmark Channel's MARIE, Marie Osmond remembers actress Jeanne Cooper who passed away on May 8. She is joined by Ms. Cooper's son, Emmy® and Golden Globe® nominated actor Corbin Bernsen to help celebrate the extraordinary life and career of the daytime legend. Together they discuss Corbin’s fondest memories with his mom and how her passing significantly affected him and his family. Marie and Corbin reminisce on Jeanne’s incredible run on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS as Katherine Chancellor, and Corbin remembers the exciting moment he found out he was nominated for an Emmy® the same year as his mother.

Tuc Watkins Will Appear On MARIE On April 29

ONE LIFE TO LIVE's Tuc Watkins will be a guest on MARIE on Monday, April 29.

Here's a description of his segments: "From the Emmy® winning series ONE LIFE TO LIVE actor Tuc Watkins gives Marie the very first sneak peek preview of the online re-launch of the show after many fans demanded its return. Tuc discusses how the show will be different online than how it was on television and gives Marie the inside scoop on what his character David Vickers is up to. Tuc’s sister, Courtney Watkins, author of 'Courtney’s Creative Adventures' joins them and teaches unique and creative crafts for kids and parents to make together."

"A lot of people at some point in their lives think, 'Am I going to be a parent? Do I want to be a parent?'" Watkins explains to Marie. "And when I was young, I knew three things: I knew I was gay, I knew one day I was gonna be a dad, and I knew that Gene Wilder's Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was going to be the best movie of all time. So far, I've been right about all three."

Watkins recently welcomed twins Catchen and Curtis via surrogate.

MARIE To Celebrate The 40th Anniversary Of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS On April 1


On a special episode of Hallmark Channel's MARIE on Monday, April 1, Marie Osmond celebrates 40 years of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS.

Marie is first joined by two actors who once played a tumultuous couple on the show, Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki) and Peter Bergman (Jack). Melody talks about her journey working on the set for 34 years and her character's diagnosis of multiple sclerosis, while Peter discusses his path to joining Y&R.

Deidre Hall To Guest on MARIE April 2

On the Tuesday, April 2 episode of MARIE, three-time Daytime Emmy nominee Deidre Hall joins Marie Osmond to talk about her legendary DAYS OF OUR LIVES character, Dr. Marlena Evans.

Hall also reveals how her stepsons' serving in Afghanistan and Iraq inspired her to become an artist and how her art supports our soldiers.

Lastly, Hall discusses her latest book, "Deidre Hall’s How Does She Do It? A Beauty Book," which covers everything from sharing beauty secrets to professional tips.

MARIE airs weekdays on the Hallmark Channel.

Kelly Monaco Coming To MARIE On October 8

GENERAL HOSPITAL star and DANCING WITH THE STARS contestant Kelly Monaco will appear on Marie Osmond's new Hallmark talk show, MARIE, on Monday, October 8.

In the episode, Osmond and Monaco share their experiences on the "toughest 10-week crash-course they’ve ever been through," DANCING WITH THE STARS. Monaco also bravely reveals why she endured a toxic relationship for 18 years and what it’s like being single today.

MARIE airs weekdays at Noon ET/PT on Hallmark Channel.  The show premiered today with special guest Betty White.
