CBS Daytime Promotes Three Executives

Margot Wain has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Daytime Programs, and Ray Paolantonio and Laurie Seidman have been promoted to Vice Presidents, Daytime Programs, it was announced today by Angelica McDaniel, Executive Vice President, Daytime Programs and Syndicated Program Development, CBS Entertainment and CBS Television Distribution.

“CBS Daytime is stronger than ever. The Network has been #1 in daytime for a record 30 years, and our lineup of dramas, talk and game shows recently took home an industry-leading 14 Daytime Emmy Awards,” said McDaniel. “Margot, Ray and Laurie have each made indelible contributions to these shows, and they will continue to help the Network remain television’s favorite daytime destination.”

Margot Wain Promoted to Vice President, Daytime Programs, CBS Entertainment

Margot Wain has been promoted from Director, Daytime Programs to Vice President, Daytime Programs, CBS Entertainment, it was announced today by Angelica McDaniel, Senior Vice President, Daytime, CBS Entertainment, to whom she reports.

In her new position, Wain will continue as the current executive on daytime's top two dramas, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, and the #1daytime show THE PRICE IS RIGHT, working with writers and producers on all day-to-day creative and strategic elements.

Wain began her career at WBBM-TV Chicago as a researcher in news, moving up to writer/producer for a magazine show and then news writer. She transferred to CBS in Los Angeles working in the Program Practices department, and later joined Daytime as Manager before being promoted to Associate Director and then Director.

Wain has been associated with THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL since the daytime drama's premiere in 1987. She also was involved in Daytime development, working on PRESS YOUR LUCK and CAPITOL, and worked on THE 25,000 PYRAMID, TATTLETALES and CARD SHARKS.

Wain is a graduate of Northwestern University. She is married and has four children.
