Emme Rylan First Airdate On GENERAL HOSPITAL Revealed

Emme Rylan's first airdate for GENERAL HOSPITAL will be April 11, according to the actress on Twitter. Rylan is joining the cast of GH as Lulu Spencer Falconeri, replacing Julie Marie Berman, who announced her departure last month. Lulu has been kidnapped and her husband, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), and parents, Luke and Laura (Anthony Geary and Genie Francis) are desperately searching for her.

Rylan previously played the roles of Lizzie Spaulding in GUIDING LIGHT and, most recently, Abby Carlton in THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS.

Melissa Ordway is replacing Rylan on Y&R as Abby and will debut later this month.

Melissa Ordway Joins THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Melissa Ordway has joined the cast of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS as the new Abby Newman, replacing Emme (Marcy) Rylan, according to Daytime Confidential. She debuts April 22.

Ordway starred in Nick at Nite's HOLLYWOOD HEIGHTS as Chloe Carter. She becomes the third actor from the show to join daytime's top-rated soap after Jill Farren Phelps and Josh Griffith moved from HH to Y&R.

Ordway's other credits include the Universal Pictures film Ted, directed by Seth MacFarlane and starring Mark Wahlberg. She will also be seen in Odd Thomas opposite Willem Dafoe and Anton Yelchin and The Incredible Burt Wonderstone opposite Jim Carrey and Olivia Wilde.

Ordway’s previous film credits include A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas, In Time, The Last Song, 17 Again, Elektra Luxx, Callers, Miss March andKnuckle Draggers.   On television, Ordway has been seen on CSI: NY, MELROSE PLACE, COLD CASE, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, ENTOURAGE and PRIVILEGED.

According to Soap Opera Digest, Emme Rylan (previously known as Marcy Rylan) has joined the cast of GENERAL HOSPITAL as Lulu Spencer Falconeri, replacing Julie Marie Berman, who announced her departure last week.

Rylan played Lizzie Spaulding in GUIDING LIGHT, then moved to THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS to play Abby Carlton. She was let go for Y&R last year but recently brought back on a recurring basis.

The first airdate for Rylan on GH has not yet been announced.

On the heels of the report of Genie Francis's (Genevieve) exit from THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, another actress has been let go. Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Marcy Rylan (Abby) has also been axed.

"Everyone is shocked," an insider told Digest. "No one ever imagined that Em's job would be in danger. After all, her character is a Newman and an Abbott. This just proves that there are going to be a lot of surprises with these budget cuts."

The classy Ryan is looking toward the future.  She tweeted after the news broke: "I had a blast at Y&R and I'm taking all those awesome memories with me! I am so excited to see what will come next! Love you all! XOXOXO"

Rylan took over the role of Victor (Eric Braeden) and Ashley's (Eileen Davidson) daughter in May 2010.

GUIDING LIGHT Baby Boom
