NEWS: Michael Muhney, Marc Anthony Samuel, Lea Michele, HEROES Comic, WALKING DEAD Poster, Jim Beaver, Shailene Woodley, Nathan Fillion

Veronica Mars Movie: Is Michael Muhney returning as Sheriff Lamb?
In addition to to giving details about the official fan event happening independent of their Comic-Con panel, Rob Thomas also shared a very interesting photo from the set. The picture is pretty simple, a photo of someone's trailer door. However, the mystery comes with the name written on a piece of tape attached to the trailer, Sheriff Lamb. Marshmallows will remember that Sheriff Don Lamb (played by Michael Muhney) was killed in the third season, after being hit in the head with a baseball bat.

So, is Muhney returning? If so, how do they explain this one away? Is it something as simple as a flashback scene, or is it a case of Zombie Sheriff Lamb? A very plausible explanation could be that Lamb's little brother or sister is now Sheriff of Balboa County, where the show is set. It won't take long to find out for sure, as Thomas promises to explain the photo Wednesday (July 17). At that time, he'll also unveil a special website just for Kickstarter backers.

Marc Anthony Samuel confident his gay character on GENERAL HOSPTIAL will get love interest
"He will, he definitely will," Samuel says. "I don't know anything yet but that"s what it sounds like will happen. I think overall that"s what they"d like to see. Felix can"t be going after straight guys all the time. He knows better."

"I love everyone associated with it," he says of GH. "They are so behind the whole storyline for Felix - developing him and creating a world for him and introducing him to the Port Charles community - not making him this kind of fly by night character."

"It's been a privilege to work with people who I've seen over the years on TV," he adds. "It's kind of surreal a little bit too. I'm working with people who have been in my pop culture psyche for years. It"s been a great ride."

The reality competition series will not return for a third season, with a network spokesman noting the decision has nothing to do with the sudden passing of GLEE star Cory Monteith.

GLEE, Grief, and Teen Rites of Passage
Strengths and weaknesses abound. But whatever else it's about, the show is about how it feels to grow up. Mostly it feels bad! Sometimes it feels good, though. Sometimes it's empowering, sometimes we surprise ourselves. Sometimes we win. Sometimes villains get their comeuppance, but often they do not. The pursuit of fairness is frequently a letdown. Sometimes our parents disappoint us, and sometimes we disappoint them. Sometimes we're inundated with support or recognition, and sometimes we're desperately, frighteningly alone. Being a teenager is not easy. Sometimes, our friends die.

Actress Kathryn Leigh Scott, best known for her role in the original DARK SHADOWS series, is the latest name to sign up for a special-guest-star turn the third season of OLD DOGS & NEW TRICKS, shooting this fall in Los Angeles.

The role of Maggie Smith, the ingenue in love with vampire Barnabas Collins (Jonathan Frid) in the ground-breaking 1970s daytime drama DARK SHADOWS, catapulted Scott to stardom. She went on to reprise the role in the big-screen sequel House of Dark Shadows, and has since guest-starred in numerous television series and appeared in several feature films. She also made a cameo appearance in last year's big-screen remake starring Johnny Depp, directed by Tim Burton.

Scott will play Lily Anne Carter, mother to lead character Al "Muscles" Carter, in two Christmas-themed episodes of OLD DOGS & NEW TRICKS.

GH50 PALEY INTERVIEW: Tyler Christopher Is Grateful For His GENERAL HOSPITAL Start

He recently made his return to General Hospital the ever so loveable "Prince Nikolas Cassadine." I had the chance to chat actor Tyler Christopher on the red carpet of the "General Hospital: Celebrating 50 Years and Looking Forward" event at the Los Angeles Paley Center on April 12.

Welcome back! How has your return been?
TYLER CHRISTOPHER: Thank you. It's been absolutely amazing. It has been so much fun the past month and it really made me appreciate what I had and what I have moving forward.

What has been your favorite storyline as Nikolas?
TYLER CHRISTOPHER: For a lot of reasons, not particularly because of the content of the story but the circumstances surrounding, it would be when Nikolas first came on the show. It was my first job ever acting in anything, my first scenes were with Genie Francis, Anthony Geary, Stephen Nichols, Jonathan Jackson, and a slew of season veterans.

GH50 PALEY INTERVIEW: Kimberly McCullough On GENERAL HOSPITAL, Directing & Being A Bad Ass

She grew up before our very eyes and became one of the most beloved characters in GENERAL HOSPITAL history. I spoke with the one and only Kimberly McCullough ("Robin Scorpio Drake") about GH memories and life after the show on the red carpet of the "General Hospital: Celebrating 50 Years and Looking Forward" event at the Los Angeles Paley Center on April 12.

Kimberly, it's nice to meet you. Before we jump into Robin, I have to say following your Instagram you seem like the most bad ass chick. You are so athletic and always seems to like to have fun and take on new adventures.
KIMBERLY MCCULLOUGH: Oh wow, thanks. that's a great compliment. I can't help myself. I grew up with two older brothers and I always wanted to be like them, and now I'm still a tomboy.

It would have been fun to seen some of that infused in the character of Robin.

GH50 PALEY INTERVIEW: Marc Anthony Samuel On GENERAL HOSPITAL & Playing Felix Dubois

He has become the go to wingman in Port Charles! I had the pleasure to chat with Marc Anthony Samuel who portrays the outgoing outspoken "Felix Dubois" during the "GENERAL HOSPITAL: Celebrating 50 Years and Looking Forward" event at the Los Angeles Paley Center on April 12.

Congratulations on being a part of television history.
MARC ANTHONY SAMUEL: Thank you. This has been unreal.

Where do you get your inspiration for playing Felix?
MARC ANTHONY SAMUEL: My inspiration is friends mostly. I have friends that will verbally cut you in a heartbeat if you do them wrong.

Your portrayal comes off very authentic. Sometimes when an actor plays a gay character it can come across as over the top.

'General Hospital' Head Writer Ron Carlivati Responds To Criticism of Felix Character

On Tuesday, We Love Soaps posted a story about the arrival of a new gay character on GENERAL HOSPITAL, Felix DuBois, played by Marc Anthony Samuel. The feedback has been mostly positive but mixed with some unhappy Felix was too much of a "sterotype" of a gay man (he gave Sabrina a makeover). I personally appreciated seeing a gay character on a daytime soap that seemed to be out and perfectly at peace with himself. Gay blog Towleroad picked up our story describing Felix's arrival in this way: "To establish his character as gay, his first scenes involved him pulling out a tube of lipstick and offering to touch up a heterosexual woman. Oy."

GH head writer Ron Carlivati took offense to this and some of the negative comments on Towleroad and fired back:

To Andy Towle and the readers of this blog: My name is Ron Carlivati and I am the Head Writer of General Hospital. I am also an openly gay man. I created the character of Felix DuBois, the "lipstick-wielding gay male nurse," and I am frankly appalled by the intolerance and internalized homophobia expressed in this post and in the majority of its comments.

GENERAL HOSPITAL's New Gay Character: Felix Dubois

Marc Anthony Samuel plays Felix
Marc Anthony Samuel debuted Tuesday on GENERAL HOSPITAL as Felix Dubois, a nursing student friend of Sabrina (Teresa Castillo). Felix quickly realized Sabrina had a crush on Patrick and tried to zhoosh her up (he happened to carry lipstick with him). Unfortunately, Sabrina just ended up with bright red velvet cupcake lipstick on her teeth. He also was gung-ho to participate in the Nurse's Ball ("You can have me sing and dance. There wasn't a moment in my childhood I didn't have an original soundtrack playing on my stereo.")

A few of Felix's memorable one-liners in his debut:

On Sabrina picking poppy seeds out of her teeth as Patrick arrives: "All I'm saying is, it's gonna take a lot more than picking poppy seeds out your teeth to land that."
