General Hospital's Jake is back—and dead babies kill soap ratings
"Dead-baby stories win Emmys. Julia Barr won twice—once for the actual story [of Brooke dealing with Laura's death], and a second time for when Brooke accidentally fell in love with her daughter’s killer. In her defense, he’d changed his name and had plastic surgery. But dead babies do not help ratings."

Are late-night talk shows doomed to go the way of soaps?
Writes Robert Rorke in the New York Post: In 2015, only four soaps remain: Days of our Lives on NBC, General Hospital on ABC, and The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful on CBS. Of the quartet, Y&R has the biggest audience, with 4.8 million viewers, while Days and GH perform on a par with Kimmel, and B&B does as well as Fallon. Yet almost no one will tell you that soap operas are the wave of the future — as the media did when Fallon took over from Leno in February 2014.

“I do believe this a cry for help,” she added, getting laughs and cheers from the audience.

Preview: Lorenzo Lamas Guest Stars On This Week's 'Queens of Drama'

Lorenzo Lamas auditions for the Queens of Drama this Wednesday.
Falcon Crest alum Lorenzo Lamas guest stars on this week's episode of Queens of Drama, airing Wednesday, May 27 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Pop. The "queens" are ready to audition actors for their new series and Lamas shows them what he's got.

"This is so surreal," says Crystal Hunt (Guiding Light, One Life to Live).

"Do you mind doing the scene with your shirt off?" asks Chrystee Pharris (Passions).

Meanwhile, things get tense between Lindsay Hartley (Passions, All My Children) and Hunter Tylo (The Bold and the Beautiful, All My Children) after Hartley retweets an "ease up on the surgery" message to Tylo.

At some point, Crystal Hunt became the level-headed, has-it-together "queen of drama." When did that happen?

THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL Star Winsor Harmon to Attend Premiere of 'Cathedral Canyon'

A new film starring THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL's Winsor Harmon, Cathedral Canyon, is making it's debut on Thursday, October 24 in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Harmon will be on hand at the premiere/benefit.

Set in 2005, Cathedral Canyon is the story of a Phoenix area criminal/businessman, Ryan McBride, (played by Harmon) who has spent the last few years tiring of his main occupation as the go-between and facilitator for criminals and the City establishment. He desires to do something more with his life and like so many others at the time, sees the booming real estate market as his ticket out. To that end, even though people around him are threatened by his desire to move on, he leverages all he has and becomes a principal in the sort of crooked real estate deal that he normally merely brokers for the big-shots.
