'Days of our Lives' Cast to Visit Mall of America on August 12


Eight cast members from the iconic NBC soap opera Days of our Lives are headed to Mall of America on Saturday, August 12 for autographs and an audience Q&A. The event will be held at 1 p.m. in the Rotunda.

If you're anywhere near Bloomington, Minnesota, on Saturday, stop by to see seven of your favorite cast members including Kristian Alfonso, Lamon Archey, Camila Banus, Billy Flynn, Lauren Koslow, Eric Martsolf, Marci Miller and Greg Vaughan.

Lamon Archey Joining 'Days of our Lives' as Eli Grant (Updated)

Former The Young and the Restless actor Lamon Archey will be joining the cast of Days of our Lives in early 2017, according to superfan site Jason47.com.

Archey has appeared in some Under 5 roles on Days in the past and also played Mason Wilder on Y&R from 2012-2014. His new Days role is unknown at this time.

Since leaving Y&R, Archey has appeared in multiple primetime series including 2 Broke Girls, Roadies and Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life.

UPDATE:
According to Michael Goldberg at Serial Scoop, Archey will be playing Eli Grant, the son of Valerie Grant (Vanessa Williams) and David Banning, and the grandson of Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes).

"Let's just say that he is someone who has a very strong bond with his mother," Archey tells Soap Opera Digest. "He's a strong character."

Look for Archey to first air in February.

ID Enlists Lynn Herring, Kin Shriner, Mary Beth Evans, Wally Kurth, Lamon Archey, Darnell Williams & Katie Barberi As Hosts For Its Daytime "Soap" Block

After a successful debut last year, Investigation Discovery bringing back its ID Daytime programming block featuring what the network calls "real-life soaps." Beginning Monday, August 25 from 1-4 p.m. daily, soap stars from past and present host encores of ID’s most scandalous series, such as Wives with Knives, My Dirty Little Secret, Scorned: Love Kills and Evil Twins. Beloved pairs are reunited on screen each week to provide insight into these cautionary tales, including: General Hospital's Lynn Herring and Kin Shriner; Days of our Lives' Mary Beth Evans and Wally Kurth; bad boys Lamon Archey from The Young and the Restless and Darnell Williams from All My Children; and telenovela actress Katie Barberi, Dona Barbara.

The daytime stunt airs in conjunction with ID’s evening primetime return of a new season of Deadly Affairs with Susan Lucci, featuring all-new stories of deadly dalliances on Saturday, August 16 at 10 p.m. ET on Investigation Discovery.

With the recent introductions of actors Redaric Williams, Lamon Archey and Lawrence Saint-Victor (on CBS-TV's THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS and THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL, respectively), there seems to be much more where that sexy blackness came from. These brothers are among the newest faces of daytime television—and there are no holds barred with their steamy storylines and sexy on-screen scenarios.

"Every single time I walk into that building, I say, 'Wow, this is my job. This is really, really cool.'" Williams, who portrays hot, young marketing wiz Tyler Michaelson, shares his experiences on the CBS lot in Los Angeles. He’s come a long way from doing Carling Black Label beer commercials in South Africa just a few years ago. The Detroit area native originally started out as a Canadian TV child star who went on to pursue theater at the University of North Texas, where he was a burgeoning sports star.

When "Days of Our Lives Better Living: Cast Secrets for a Healthier, Balanced Life" landed in her dressing room, however, the actress who plays Marlena Evans on the long-running soap opera found herself captivated by the stories and photography.

"I had no vision of the scope of it," said Hall. "I am so unspeakably proud of the people with whom I work."

Redaric Williams & Lamon Archey Join THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS has added two new actors to its cast, according to EW.com.

Newcomer Redaric Williams (pictured, right), an international model who recently became the face of Carling Black Label in South Africa, will play the new role of Tyler Douglas. Tyler is the brother of attorney Leslie Michaelson, played by Angell Conwell. An audition video was online for a bit but taken down after it was discovered and widely reported by fans and the press.

Lamon Archey (left), another model making the transition to the small screen, will play another new character, Mason.

Both will start showing up around the athletic club and the coffee house in November.
