'Days of our Lives' Alum Jason Cook Stars in LMN Movie 'Girlfriend Killer' on June 1

Jason Cook (formerly Shawn on Days of our Lives), Barbie Castro, Dina Meyer and Corin Nemec star in Girlfriend Killer, a new original movie premiering Thursday, June 1 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on LMN.

Beautiful, innovative entrepreneur Carmen Ruiz (Castro) has created a successful online service that helps wealthy men plan romantic marriage proposals and then films them as a keepsake. But when one of her clients, Emerson Banes (Cook), proposes to his girlfriend Marissa (Elisabetta Fantone), the unexpected happens.

Marissa confesses to Emerson that she’s been having an affair and is in love with someone else. Shocked, Carmen gives Emerson his money back and does her best to console him. Mistaking sympathy for interest, Emerson develops an obsession with Carmen and when she rejects his advances, terrible things begin to happen. First, her house is broken into and her boyfriend Ryan (Bryan Gross) is almost hit by a car in a parking lot.

It's not until Carmen discovers that Marissa has gone missing that she connects Emerson to her sudden string of bad luck. Things get worse when she goes to the police with information about Emerson. Detectives Price (Meyer) and Baker (Nemec) begin to investigate the case which panics Emerson. Seeing her as just another woman who rejected him and bent on revenge, Emerson ups the stakes and kidnaps Carmen's teenage daughter Ayla (Taylor Castro, in her debut role). Carmen must take whatever steps necessary to stop Emerson and save her daughter.
