'The Bay' Spins Off Young Adult Series 'yA'


Twins Bianca D'Ambrosio and Chiara D'Ambrosio (Nickelodeon's Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn) are set to star in a new young adult spinoff of Emmy and Indie Series Award winning The Bay titled yA.

Currently in pre-production, yA is co-written by original series creator and showrunner Gregori J. Martin and former General Hospital executive producer Wendy Riche. The show will be be co-directed by Martin and The Bay star Kristos Andrews, with principal photography set to begin next month.

Andrews' character, Pete Garrett, from The Bay will crossover to the series along with Lane Davies as Capt. Mackenzie Johnson, Dante Aleksander as Xander Castro, and Michael Copon as Colton Kurosaki.

Mike C. Manning (Teen Wolf) is also attached to the series with additional attachments to be announced.

'The Bay' Season 3 Launches With Two New Episodes

A new season of #Bayhem kicks off today as the first two episodes of The Bay stream on Amazon Prime. With two new episodes scheduled to be released weekly for the next seven weeks, Season 3 promises to take viewers on an unexpected journey involving mystery, suspense, and passion.

Questions remain when a flashback to Sara Garrett’s (Mary Beth Evans) past reveals a startling connection. Newlyweds Pete Garrett (Kristos Andrews) and Vivian Johnson-Garrett (Karrueche Tran) find it hard to resist temptation as across town, Daniel Garrett (Eric Nelsen) resists taking the first step. Janice Ramos (Lilly Melgar) reaches a breaking point before Riley Henderson (Brittany Underwood) offers a questionable resolution. Mayor Jack Madison's (Nicolas Coster) plea is met with the cold shoulder of his estranged grandson Evan Blackwell (Brandon Beemer). Adam Kenway (Chad Duell) confronts attorney Arthur Tobin (Thomas Calabro) about their volatile secret while John Blackwell (Ronn Moss) is made an offer he can’t refuse. Avery Garrett (Alicia Leigh Willis) and Damian Blackwell's (Erik Fellows) first date doesn't go as planned. Det. Eddie Perrone (Anthony Aquilino) attempts to comfort Mickey Walker (Patrika Darbo) while back at the station, Capt. Mackenzie Johnson (Lane Davies) interrogates a defientTamara Garrett (Celeste Fianna). Ofc. Will Campbell's (Derrell Whitt) advice is met with Ofc. Colton Kurosaki (Christoph Sean) cocky attitude. Sofia Madison (Jackie Zeman) enjoys playful gossip as nearby, Liza Garrett (Ilene Kristen) promises to deliver a damning testimony at Sara's murder trial.

Additional series regulars and fan favorites returning for Season 3 of The Bay include Matthew Ashford, Scott Bailey, Jade Harlow, Terri Ivens, Taylor Stanley and Tristan Rogers.

New Season of 'The Bay' Premieres October 24

Season 3 of Emmy And Indie Series Award-winning drama The Bay begins streaming Tuesday, October 24 on Amazon Prime. LANY Entertainment has revealed that two episodes per week will be released over a span of seven weeks this fall.

During Season 3 viewers can expect to see Bay City matriarch Sara Garrett (Mary Beth Evans, Days of our Lives) face an unsympathetic jury while struggling with the sordid memories she shares with her prominent attorney, Arthur Tobin (special guest star Thomas Calabro, Melrose Place). Now married to his high school sweetheart, golden boy Pete Garrett (Kristos Andrews) attempts to build a new life with Vivian Johnson (Karrueche Tran) although a spurned Janice Ramos (Lilly Melgar, General Hospital) threatens to complicate things. Struggling to find himself, Daniel Garrett (Eric Nelsen, All My Children) sets out on a life-altering journey, while his half-sister Tamara Garrett (Celeste Fianna) finds herself seduced by a quite charming and manipulative rookie BCPD police officer Colton Kurosaki (guest star Christopher Sean, Days of our Lives).

'The Southside' To Be Released Today as Four-Part Miniseries, True Story of Robert Areizaga Jr.

The Southside, an indie feature presentation that shares the tragic true story of 19-year-old Robert Areizaga Jr.’s final months leading to his untimely death, will be released today at 2 p.m. ET as a four-part miniseries.

From LANY Entertainment in association with New Universe Pictures, The Southside is written and directed by Emmy-winning producer Gregori J. Martin (creator, writer and director of the The Bay). Based on fact, the gritty feature stars Kristos Andrews (The Bay, X Games Champion); Douglas Santiago (star of the Green/Renzi and Independent Film Channel's blockbuster hit Girlfight); hip-hop sensation Cuban Link (Flowers for the Dead, A Tribute to Big Pun); and features Puerto Rican film and TV icon Miriam Colon, best known for her role as “Mama Montana” in the Universal Pictures motion picture Scarface. There are also cameo guest appearances by daytime television favorites including Nicolas Coster (Another World, Santa Barbara, et al), Ellen Dolan (As the World Turns, Guiding Light), Fiona Hutchison (One Life to Live, Guiding Light), Bronson Picket (As the World Turns), and two-time Emmy winner Kevin Mambo (Guiding Light, One Life to Live).

Robert Areizaga Jr. was born and raised in Yonkers, NY. After struggling through a series of trials and tribulations commonly faced by urban youth, Robert realized he needed to change his life and decided to take the Yonkers Civil Service Police Exam. Shortly after he learned he had passed the exam, Robert was brutally stabbed to death at a house party in White Plains, NY. A life filled with promise was cut shortand and no conviction was ever made.

The Southside has won rave reviews from tear-filled audiences at screenings on both coasts. Viewer discretion is advised.

'The Bay' New Season Begins: Sara Garrett Is In The Big House!

A new season of Gregori J. Martin's Emmy and Indie Series Award-winning web series, The Bay, kicked off on Tuesday with back-to-back episodes and an all-star lineup that now includes, among other, daytime favorites Patsy Pease and Judith McConnell. There's also a haunting new opening sequence set to "Devil's Bride." As the season begins, havoc reigns as Bay City residents deal with the aftermath of multiple calamities and ongoing scandals.

What tragedy awaits Janice Ramos (Lilly Melgar) at the hands of the despicable Chase Walker (Brian Gaskill)? Charged with murder, can Sara Garrett (Mary Beth Evans) survive prison life? Or do Big Candi (Kym Whitley) and Reya (Sarah Tirado) have other plans? Will concerned son Pete Garrett (Kristos Andrews) be able to help his mother when astute lawyer Cleo Harris (Vanessa Williams) reveals a dire situation? Do Mayor Jack Madison (Nicolas Coster) and Melody Garrett (Judith McConnell) have what it takes to help their daughter? Will persistent reporter Nathan Perkins (Scott Bailey) get answers before a cavalier Steve Jensen (Matthew Ashford) gets what he deserves? Is Vivian Johnson (Karrueche Tran) the first to grow suspicious of Daniel Garrett (Eric Nelsen) when he arrives on the scene? Can Riley Henderson (Brittany Underwood) handle the firery wrath of Lianna Ramos (Jade Harlow)? Will a brooding John Blackwell (Ronn Moss) become an unsuspecting hero?

Continuing in Episode 2, Sara makes a tentative friend when offered advice from odd inmate Lola (Patsy Pease). Jo Connors (Kira Reed Lorsch) offers Steve fair warning as Commissioner Lex Martin (Tristan Rogers) and Zoey Johnson (Taylor Stanley) deal with Blackwell’s shocking revelation. At the roadhouse, Pete relays discouraging news to Daniel, Vivian, and Avery Garrett (Alicia Leigh Willis) before Vivian offers a shocking solution. Lianna and Will Campbell (Derrell Whitt) arrive just in time for an intense confrontation. As Janice prepares to deal with the unthinkable, Sara remembers when a young Lee Nelson (Eric Martsolf) offered her young self (Abby Wathen) comforting words.

NATAS Announces Presenters for Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) today announced the presenters for the 42nd Annual Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards.

“With two Daytime icons, Alex Trebek and Florence Henderson, as our hosts and Producer/Director Michael Gargiulo as our crafts lifetime achievement honoree, this year's Creative Arts Emmy Awards will be an event that will inspire pride within the community!,” said David Michaels, Senior Vice President, Daytime.

THE BAY Director's Cut Released In Memory of David Pregerson (1990-2013)


THE BAY has released a "Director's Cut" featuring the best of its recent webisodes. The new Chapter 11 edit is dedicated to the memory of David Pregerson, one of the head camera operators on THE BAY and star Kristos Andrews' childhood best friend. Pregerson was a victim of a hit-and-run in the early morning hours of Friday, December 27, and passed away from his injuries on New Year's Eve. Local law enforcement officials are seeking the public’s help to find the hit-and-run driver.

THE BAY cast includes Mary Beth Evans, Tristan Rogers, Matthew Ashford, Kristos Andrews, Lilly Melgar, Nicolas Coster, Jacklyn Zeman, Terri Ivens, Scott Bailey, Jade Harlow (who makes her DAYS OF OUR LIVES debut next week), Taylor Stanley, Derrell Whitt and Erik Fellows.

Janice and Peter Heat Up The Latest Webisode of THE BAY (Video)

On this week's episode of THE BAY, Bay City vixen Janice Ramos (Lilly Melgar) and the handsome young Peter Garrett (Kristos Andrews) deal with the aftermath of their sexual rendezvous. How will Pete's mother, Sara (Mary Beth Evans), feel about this?  Janice's daughter, Lianna (Jade Harlow), attempts to vent as the ominous Steve Jensen (Matthews Ashford) gives Orchid (Terri Ivens) a warning.

Meanwhile, Sofia Madison (Jacklyn Zeman) is perplexed by her daughter Tandi Jo's (Emmie Romanovich) relationship with Igor Chambers (Camden Toy) and her husband Jack's (Nicolas) mysterious 3 a.m. phone calls.  Are the streets of Bay City going to be safe if Lex (Tristan Rogers) and Will (Derrell Whitt) let Igor go?

DARKSIDE OF THE BAY, the special five-part summer spin-off of Emmy-nominated THE BAY, premieres Thursday, August 9th at 3:15 p.m. ET. Revolving around THE BAY’s Generation Y, it's a life or death situation when the younger residents of Bay City dare venture into the wrong side of town. Featuring THE BAY’s Kristos Andrews (Peter Garrett), Jade Harlow (Lianna Ramos), Martha Madison (Marly Nelson-Foster), Ignacio Serrichio (Manny Ramos), Taylor Stanley (Zoey Johnson) and Derrell Whitt (Will Campbell).

When Lianna, in her quest for another fix, stumbles into a situation too hot to handle, Will comes to her rescue, putting his own life in jeopardy in the process. As he searches for his missing mother and brother, Peter faces those intent on serving their own brand of justice. Zoey dares to face the unthinkable after summoning Marly and Manny’s help. WATCH: THE BAY's Chapter 9 Begins; John Reilly Debuts

Dark and spooky Chapter 9 of THE BAY began on Thursday with John Reilly (GENERAL HOSPITAL; PASSIONS) debuting as the Garrett’s sage butler, Mortimer. Michael Swan (AS THE WORLD TURNS) returns as the irate hotel manager Buck Stanton and Fiona Hutchison (GUIDING LIGHT; ONE LIFE TO LIVE) as the sultry and determined Emma Cambridge.

Sara Garrett (Mary Beth Evans) sees a ghost from her past as Steve Jensen (Matthew Ashford) pays an unexpected visit to the Garrett estate. Peter Garrett (Kristos Andrews) is determined to warn his brother Brian (Dylan Bruce) though he may be too late!

WE LOVE SOAPS TV 3.29 The Southside Cast at New York Industry Screening

WE LOVE SOAPS TV recently attended an industry screening of a new film from THE BAY's Gregori J. Martin (LANYfilms in association with New Universe Pictures), The Southside, based on a true story.

Robert Areizaga Jr. was born and raised in Yonkers, NY. After struggling through a series of trials and tribulations commonly faced by urban youth, Robert realized he needed to change his life and decided to take the Yonkers Civil Service Police Exam. Shortly after he learned he had passed the exam, 19-year-old Robert was brutally stabbed to death at a house party in White Plains, NY. A life filled with promise was cut short, and over a year after his murder, no conviction has been made.

An emotional Martin, first cousin to Areizaga Jr., revealed to Damon L. Jacobs the details of how the film came to be on the red carpet.
