Lifetime Movie 'A Day Late and a Dollar Short' Premieres Tonight, Stars Whoopi Goldberg, Ving Rhames, Anika Noni Rose, Tichina Arnold, Kimberly Elise and Mekhi Phifer

Lifetime Original Movie A Day Late and a Dollar Short premieres Saturday, April 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Academy Award and Golden Globe winner Whoopi Goldberg (Ghost, The Color Purple, The View) and Golden Globe winner Ving Rhames (Mission: Impossible) headline the cast.

Based on The New York Times bestseller by Terry McMillan, A Day Late and A Dollar Short is the uplifting story of a mother who tries to help her dysfunctional family through life's ups and downs. The film also stars Mekhi Phifer (Dawn of the Dead), Kimberly Elise (Hit the Floor, Diary of a Mad Black Woman), Anika Noni Rose (Dreamgirls) and Tichina Arnold (Ryan's Hope, All My Children).

VH1 Drama HIT THE FLOOR Returns on May 26 (Promo)


VH1 dramatic scripted series HIT THE FLOOR kicks off its second season on Monday, May 26 (Memorial Day) at 9 p.m. ET/PT. HIT THE FLOOR explores the sexy world of professional basketball and the dancers who make the fans (and players) go wild. The Los Angeles Devils are the number one team in the league. When the arena lights go on all of Hollywood comes out to support the million dollar players. But in this city these men share the fame, adrenalin, money, sex and power with their dancers, the Devil Girls.
