'Days of our Lives' Digital Series to Feature Billy Flynn, Kate Mansi and Austin Peck

Fans of Days of our Lives will soon be able to go beyond the show’s broadcast stories when the daytime drama series launches its new original companion series, Days of our Lives: The Digital Series.

The first season of the new digital series premieres Thursday, August 1, on The DOOL App with an eight-episode arc titled “Chad and Abby in Paris.” The first three episodes will be available immediately with the remaining five episodes released weekly thereafter. The episodes will also be available on the NBC app and NBC.com one week after streaming on The DOOL App. Each episode will be approximately 6-10 minutes in length.

The DOOL App, which was recently launched as an all-access platform for fans of Days of our Lives, is the first and only app exclusively dedicated to a daytime soap opera. The launch of the digital series marks the first time a daytime drama series has spawned an original streaming series to complement the broadcast show.

'Nightclub Secrets' Premieres Tonight on Lifetime, Stars Kate Mansi, Rachel Hendrix, Nick Marshall

Nightclub Secrets premieres on Saturday, July 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Lifetime. The film stars Kate Mansi (Days of our Lives), Rachel Hendrix, Nick Marshall, Gigi Rice and Gary Weeks.

Zoe (Mansi), a middle-American elementary school teacher, has been running away from a tumultuous relationship with her mother and younger sister, Rachel (Hendrix), for as long as she can remember. But Zoe is forced to return to LA and the home she escaped when she receives a sudden phone call from her mother, Barbara (Rice), telling her that Rachel, a bottle girl in an exclusive LA club, has killed herself. Unconvinced that Rachel would take her own life, Barbara urges Zoe to find out what really happened. Now Zoe needs to pose as a bottle girl herself and infiltrate the mysterious depths of the high-end nightclub world to track down Rachel’s killer. Will Zoe be able to avenge her sister’s death and finally find peace for her family once and for all?

Marci Miller Leaving 'Days of our Lives', Kate Mansi to Return as Abigail

Marci Miller, who joined the cast of Days of our Lives as Abigail in 2016, has opted not to renew her contract and will wrap filming this month, reports Daytime Confidential's Jillian Bowe.

"Marci has been planning this for awhile," an insider tells Soap Opera Digest. "But it still came as a surprise to a lot of people at the studio."

Kate Mansi, who played the role before Miller from 2011-16, will be back this summer for a short-term stay.

Former Days of our Lives actors Kate Mansi and Patrick Muldoon star in the LMN movie premiere Boyfriend Killer on Sunday, January 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Also starring are Barbie Castro and As the World Turns alum Yancy Butler.

In Boyfriend Killer, the death Preston Durro (Michael Uribe) leads his mother, Sandra (Castro) , on a dark journey.

After Preston dies in a car crash, Sandra goes through his social media accounts hoping to salvage any photos of him and let his friends know of his death. She discovers communication between Preston and his vindictive girlfriend Krystal Kellers (Mansi) in which she tried to get Preston to kill her ex. When Krystal's ex is found dead a few days later, Sandra is certain that Krystal killed him, orchestrated Preston's "accident" as well, and must prove it before Krystal murders her too.

'Days of Our Lives' Finds its New Abigail Deveraux

Entertainment Weekly has learned newcomer Marci Miller will replace Kate Mansi as Abigail Deveraux on Days of our Lives.

Miller is said to first air in the role this fall. Mansi last airs as Abigail on June 24.

Miller's list of credits include About Abigail, Viper and The Ring of Rimachi.

Kate Mansi Confirms Final Airdate on 'Days of our Lives'

Actress Kate Mansi, who began playing Abigail Deveraux on Days of our Lives in March 2011, has confirmed her final airdate.

Mansi confirmed her last airdate will be Friday, June 24 on instagram.  Good luck Kate.  You will be missed!

The results are in from the We Love Soaps "Soap of the Week" poll for January 4-8, 2016. NBC's Days of our Lives was voted favorite soap opera by our readers for the 49th week in a row.

ABC's General Hospital was second followed by CBS' The Bold and the Beautiful.

The Favorite Couple this week was Days of our Lives' John & Marlena. Days' Drake Hogestyn (John) and Deidre Hall (Marlena) were voted Favorite Actor and Favorite Actress.
