New 'Battle of the Network Stars' Premieres June 29 on ABC, Stars Include Deidre Hall, Donna Mills, Ryan Paevey

In an ode to Wide World of Sports, 100 TV stars from 14 different network and cable companies will take their athleticism to a new level as they compete - to feel "the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat" - in the revival of Battle of the Network Stars, based on the '70s and '80s television pop-culture classic, premiering on Thursday, June 29 at 9 p.m. ET/PT) on ABC. The new Battle of the Network Stars will be a nostalgic throwback to the original series, where TV celebrities blended athleticism with hilarious antics while featuring an array of fan favorites from numerous TV series like Pretty Little Liars, Scandal, Melrose Place, Beverly Hills, 90210, How to Get Away with Murder, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The West Wing, Dallas, and many more. You'll also find a number of current and former daytime and primetime soap opera stars on the various teams.

The original series from ABC Sports began in 1976 and continued for 13 years. The 10-episode summer event will pit teams of current and classic TV stars from multiple eras and different genres against one another in a variety of athletic games. Viewers can look forward to seeing a fresh take at some of the classic show's sporting events like Tug of War, Archery, Kayak Relay, Obstacle Course and Dunk Tank - all from the site of the original series, the beautiful campus of Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.

For this new version, fielding of the teams will be based on the TV characters people love from over the years to the current day - cops vs. TV sitcoms, White House vs. lawyers, TV moms & dads vs. TV kids, etc. In this way, viewers will get to see everyone's favorites from over the years, even if they spanned different networks at the time.

Here are the 20 teams (100 stars), blue and red, competing against each other in separate episodes with athletic contests of physical grace and stamina (* = returning to "Battle of the Network Stars"):

While Megan has a mysterious past she is trying to keep hidden, Kyle has secrets of his own.

In addition to being Kyle's best friend and closest confidante, Terence also helps manage his career, as his wife, DeAnn (Doig), is Kyle's producing partner. Terence, whose motives are often unclear, created this contract to "protect" Kyle.

NEWS: Teresa Castillo Pregnant! Plus, Anthony Geary, Brad Maule, Josh Henderson, Blake Berris

Teresa Castillo with her husband and daughter.
General Hospital star Teresa Castillo pregnant with second child
Castillo, who plays Sabrina Santiago on GH, tweeted the news on Monday morning along with a family photo: "Someone's getting a little brother...πŸ‘ΆπŸ’™"

Anthony Geary reflects on his career at General Hospital
"Genie was only 17 at the time, and I was 32," Geary said. "They had Luke become obsessed with her, which led to the rape, which was then romanticized to my great regret through the years. Ironically, the audience had as much sympathy for the rapist as they did for the victim, which nobody quite understood. I certainly didn't. After that, Luke became more of a focal point."

Brad Maule on his General Hospital days and new life as acting teacher
On why he was let go from GH: "You never really understand the mechanics of it all. But if you were over 30 and had been on the show for awhile they began to use you less and less. Also, when a new producer comes in, they try and put their stamp on things by getting rid of the old regime. It’s the same everywhere. But I’m happy to say I survived eight producers."

On Anthony Geary, whose final episode of GH airs today: "Tony is a wonderful guy. He never fell for the hype of being the most famous soap opera actor. He burns hot and loves his work and has a passion for it."

Ashley Benson and Blake Berris
Days of our Lives alum Blake Berris to guest star on Pretty Little Liars
Berris, who played Nick Fallon on Days, will appear on an upcoming episode of PLL but details about his character have not been revealed. Berris' former Days co-star, Ashley Benson, now stars in Pretty Little Liars and posted a photo of the two of them with the caption: "Sooooo excited this guy is here @blakeberris haven't worked with him since I was 17 ❤️❤️❤️ #friends."

Broadcasting & Cable's annual TCA-eve poll reveals early fall favorites
Based on B&C's very informal annual survey of TV critics, ABC's The Muppets is the most anticipated new fall show, closely followed by CBS' Supergirl and The CW's Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Least anticipated—and this doesn’t hold true for everyone—are Fox’s Rosewood and Grandfathered, with shows such as Fox’s The Grinder falling somewhere in the middle.

On the latest episode of WE LOVE SOAPS TV (5.19), Roger Newcomb traveled to the Ewing Energies flagship gas station in New York City to watch the ribbon cutting ceremony and speak with actor Josh Henderson, who plays John Ross Ewing III.

The Ewings are celebrating the season three premiere of TNT's hit series DALLAS by taking over a Manhattan gas station (branded Ewing Energies), slashing prices for today to only $1.98.

Henderson shared his thoughts on the Ewing Energies promotion to slash gas prices for a day, DALLAS Season 3, John Ross' love for Pamela and the late Larry Hagman.

"What people love about DALLAS is the scheming, the backstabbing, the sex and the blackmailing, and we have that times a hundred this year," Henderson said about the new season. "I was so proud of Season 1, Season 2 was unbelievable, and Season 3 is even better."

Watch below:

The Ewing Energies gas station is located at 466 10th Ave (at 36th) in New York City.

The third season of DALLAS premieres Monday, February 24, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on TNT. Season 3 kicks off with the Ewings on top, having vanquished Cliff Barnes (guest star Ken Kercheval) and taken over his company. The Ewings are united, with Sue Ellen planning a wedding for John Ross and Pamela. But solidarity among them can only last for so long. John Ross quickly gets into conflict with Bobby over their joint ownership of Southfork Ranch, while also putting his marriage at risk as he enters into an illicit liaison with Emma. Meanwhile, Christopher’s relationship with Elena seems irreparable as Elena returns to Dallas with her own secret agenda for justice. As the betrayals mount, the arrival of a mysterious stranger puts everyone's plans at risk.

DALLAS' Ewing Energies Slashes Gas Prices to $1.98 in New York City

The Ewings are celebrating the season three premiere of TNT's hit series DALLAS the only way they know how: big and bold. They are taking over a New York City gas station at 466 10th Ave (at 36th), slashing prices for today to only $1.98. The flagship station is branded Ewing Energies.

The Ewings like to do everything on a Texas-sized scale, so their gas prices will undercut the competition while supplies last. Josh Henderson (John Ross Ewing III) was on hand this morning for a ribbon cutting ceremony at Ewing Energies and to announce the slashed gas prices. Look for our interview later today.

Season 3 of DALLAS will launch Monday, February 24, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
