'By God's Grace' Airs Tonight on TBN, Cast Includes Roark Critchlow, Jillian Clare & John J. York

By God's Grace, a faith-based holiday film featuring some familiar faces from the world of soaps, tells the story of a young man full of anger who is shown a new perspective on his empty life by his little sister. The movie airs tonight on TBN at 9:30 p.m. PT/12:30 a.m. ET.

From a meager beginning to owning a thriving air charter service, the Taylors devoted their lives to their children Chris (Cameron Deane Stewart) and Grace (Savannah McReynolds). Raising them with a solid foundation of faith, they taught them through example to love others and give to their community. Their passion was volunteering and financially supporting the local youth shelter. However when tragedy strikes, Chris turns his back on his faith and the shelter. His choices are leading to destruction unless he changes his ways. Will an unlikely visit save what is about to be lost?

The film also stars Roark Critchlow (ex-Mike Horton, Days of our Lives), Jillian Clare (ex-Abigail Deveraux, Days of our Lives), John J. York (Mac Scorpio, General Hospital), Kc Guyer, Angela DiMarco, Brennan Bailey and Preston Bailey.

Directed by Brett Eichenberger, By God's Grace was written by Debbie Preston and Jill Remensnyder. Debbie Preston and A.A. Coffman are executive producers, Robert Thomas Preston co-executive produces, along with producer Susan Bernhardt. Bernhardt is also one of the producers of the annual Indie Series Awards.

ZomCom ACTING DEAD Launches Website, Releases Trailer

Upcoming star-studded ZomCom ACTING DEAD has launched a new website, ActingDead.com, and released a trailer for the series which premieres online April 22.

ACTING DEAD stars Brian Beacock (Mulholland Drive) as Tate Blodgett, a down on his luck unemployed actor, who after being turned down for role after role, decides to take his career into his own hands, and becomes a Zombie, simply so he can finally get work in the many Zombie movies and television shows. Along the way, he meets Alex Carboneux (Jillian Clare, Alien Abduction), a former child star who's temper has stalled her career until she also decides to take matters in her own hands, which doesn't turn out so well either.

"We're very excited about ACTING DEAD's World Premiere on March 28th at LAweb Fest," showrunner and star Brian Beacock said in a press release. "It's an amazingly fun and important event and we're so proud to be a part of it. Plus today is the launch of the ACTING DEAD Official Website and the premiere of our Official Series Trailer! There's so much going on, it's got our brains on overdrive. Of course, that comes with the territory when working on a zombie comedy series."

GH50 PALEY INTERVIEW: John J. York On His Favorite GENERAL HOSPITAL Storylines

John J. York plays the Number One fill-in dad in Port Charles, "Uncle Mac Scorpio." I had the pleasure to catch up with the actor on the red carpet of the "General Hospital: Celebrating 50 Years and Looking Forward" event at the Los Angeles Paley Center on April 12. We talked about about what it's like being back front and center on GH and a few of his favorite storylines.

Congratulations on being a part of history.
JOHN J. YORK: Thank you. 22 years for me. 22 years out of 50 is pretty good.

With so many years on the show, what's been your favorite storyline?
JOHN J. YORK: I would say there would be three favorite storylines for Mac Scorpio. First would be the Robin/Stone HIV story especially when she told her Uncle Mac, that she was HIV positive. Before that was the Maxie/BJ heart transplant storyline because it was heart wrenching. And third would be...hmmm...what's the most recent?

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow - In Honor Of SeptemBeard!

"Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow"
by Nelson Aspen

In honor of "SeptemBeard" --a witty celebration of facial hair intended to help raise awareness and donations in the fight against a leading killer of men, prostate cancer-- I am going razor-free for the next month.  I wrote a blog article about Hollywood's hottest hirsute heartthrobs (including Jake Gyllenhaal, Gerard Butler, Hugh Jackman...  You can read it here.) but I realized how woefully lacking the Daytime TV genre has always been in the Beard Department (that includes Talk & Game shows, too).  Does the female demographic the Sponsors covet really prefer baby-faced heroes with shiny, plucked chests and androgynous good looks?  Or might there be some viewers out there waiting to "Woof!" at the sight of some Au Naturel guys with some fuzz not only on their hands and feet, but right up there on their chiseled cheekbones or square cut jaw lines?
