EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: John Barrowman on His Recent Marriage, TV Roles, Upcoming Projects, Comic Con, Sci-Fi Fans & More!
On the big screen, Barrowman has appeared as the Lead Tenor in The Producers, as Jack in the Cole Porter biopic De-Lovely, and as he star of cult classic Megalodon: Shark Attack 3. He had a supporting role in the Oscar-winning film Zero Dark Thirty, and appeared in Vertigo Films' All Stars this year.
His most famous television role is of course Captain Jack Harkness, whose first appearance in the revamped DOCTOR WHO created such an impact that he was given his own spin off series, TORCHWOOD.
On TV, he's hosted TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT and KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT, and appeared in CENTRAL PARK WEST, TITANS, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, SCANDAL and the sexy new ARROW.
We Love Soaps (just barely) caught up with Barrowman as he and his husband, Scott Gill, were en route from In-and-Out Burger to San Diego Comic Con.
Aren't sci-fi fans some of the most passionate, loyal, lifelong fans?
"Yes, and I can say myself because I'm one of those fans," Barrowman says. "I'm a fan of other sci-fi shows just as people are fans of mine from sci-fi stuff. They are the most passionate, and that's great for us as the actors. It means we've made an impact with the characters we've played, and the stories that the show has been bringing forward. It's a great thing."

In Driving By Braille, Sarah Corso is deeply afraid of turning out like her mother who had the progression of love, marriage, kids, etc. right up until the day she suffered a psychotic break down.
The film stars Tammin Sursok (THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS), Finola Hughes (GENERAL HOSPITAL), Steven Bauer, Ryan Eggold (90210), Andrea Marcovicci and Manu Intiraymi.
Y&R alum Tammin Sursok (ex-Colleen) moves back to Australia
Sursok and film producer husband, Sean McEwan, say they're hoping to set up home in Australia after being based in Los Angeles for several years.
"I went to Ravenswood School for Girls (in Gordon) and I love the schools in Sydney - I want our children to go to school here," she said.

NEWS ROUNDUP: REVENGE Recasts Emily's Mentor; Plus, Al Freeman Jr., Crystal Chappell, Lucy Lawless
Due to the unavailability of the character's original portrayer, Hiroyuki Sanada, the part will now be played by Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa. According to producer Melissa Loy, Sanada's jam-packed film schedule (including a role in the Hugh Jackman-led movie Wolverine) necessitated the change. "Geographically, with our schedule being what it is, it was getting a little bit challenging," Loy explains. "We would have had to fly him in and out of Australia [where Wolverine was filming], but [still] wouldn't have had him on the days we necessarily needed him. We tried to figure out a bunch of different scenarios, but ultimately it was too difficult."
Crystal Chappell blogs about the Melissa Reeves Chick-fil-A backlash
"I reached out to Missy and she responded several days later. She’s decided to not speak out and hope that the people who know her will trust that she didn’t intend to support an anti-gay corporation. I firmly believe she should speak…not only for the fans but for her friends. I read Greg Riikart’s article in the Huffington Post. I thought it was eloquent and spot on…with the exception of calling Melissa Reeves a bully. Although, I understand where it came from. Sometimes being too quiet after creating a shit storm can make you look more guilty. So, Ill pray that she speaks so you can know that person who has a genuine love for all people regardless of race, gender or sexual orientation."

Jesse Plemons finds similarities between FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS and BREAKING BAD sets
“It’s definitely a friendly vibe, and the crew is really awesome,” he said. “It’s just a set that everyone wakes up and is really excited to go to work. The crew is just as big a fan as everyone else — you can really tell when everyone is really into what they’re trying to do. … There’s obviously differences on every set, but the overall vibe is very comfortable.”
