A Ewing will die tonight! But which one? Dallas wraps up its third season on TNT with two new episodes on Monday, September 22, starting at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

"Endgame" – 9 p.m. ET/PT
While Christopher (Jesse Metcalfe) races to find Elena (Jordana Brewster), Bobby (Patrick Duffy) is double-crossed by the cartel. "Brave New World" – 10 p.m. ET/PT
The Ewings and the Rylands finally force the cartel to pay the piper as some lives are saved and others are lost. 'Dallas' Mid-Season Premiere Preview: After the Fire, Southfork Still Burns

Brenda Strong, Jordana Brewster Jesse Metcalfe and Patrick Duffy in
the August 18 episode of Dallas on TNT.
The Ewing family searches for answers as to who set the fire at Southfork Ranch and who will survive, while John Ross and Emma struggle with their role in Pamela's overdose in the mid-season premiere of Dallas, Monday, August 18 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Dallas centers on the Ewing family, which has made a fortune in cattle ranching and oil. Bobby Ewing (Patrick Duffy) is now the family patriarch following the death of his older brother, J.R. Ewing. The complicated and often bitter relationship between the two brothers can be seen reflected in the relationship between Christopher (Jesse Metcalfe), Bobby's adopted son, and John Ross III (Josh Henderson), the son of J.R. and former wife Sue Ellen Ewing (Linda Gray).

The summer run of TNT's Dallas opens in the aftermath of a devastating fire at Southfork Ranch and the unexpected overdose of John Ross' wife, Pamela Barnes Ewing (Julie Gonzalo). Each member of the family struggles to understand what's happened, including John Ross, whose two-timing behavior may have finally caught up with him after Pamela discovered him with another woman. To make matters worse, that other woman is Emma Ryland (Emma Bell), the daughter of Bobby's wife, Ann (Brenda Strong).

Christopher continues to reel after his engagement to Elena Ramos (Jordana Brewster) fell through, and the search for his mother ended with news that she died in 1989. He has found some comfort in a new relationship with Heather (AnnaLynne McCord), a 20-something ranch hand and single mother. But Heather's ex-husband has just returned, bringing turmoil back into her life and the life of her 5-year-old son.

When soap operas ALL MY CHILDREN and ONE LIFE TO LIVE come back to life online later this month, episodes will run for 30 minutes, about half as long as the hourlong blocks that ran on broadcast television for most of the shows' 40-year run. Why? Because they're likely to be watched on the go.

NEWS ROUNDUP: Joan Van Ark, Thorsten Kaye, John McCook, A Martinez, Kyle MacLachlan

Joan Van Ark on her return to DALLAS: 'I felt a huge responsibility to do Valene justice'
"Ted [Shackelford] called me after we had done our scene that first day and he was so dear. He said, 'You still got it. You were great every take.' Ted is brutally honest – and that’s a good thing because I want the truth. So for him to say that meant so much to me."

"And with Charlene [Tilton] – she’s such a pistol! When I see her now, I feel like she’s the parent and I’m the child because she’s got it going on! [Laughs] She calls it like she sees it, and she was so generous and beautiful to me when we were together. And Patrick Duffy and I had a really nice moment [off the set]. It was totally special, and it had to do with Larry [Hagman]. I shared something with Patrick and he returned it right back. It was maybe the most profound, connected moment I had when I was down there."

Valene will not be seen at J.R.'s funeral on next week's episode of DALLAS.

Thorsten Kaye on taping the first scene of the new ALL MY CHILDREN
"Jill Larson (Opal) was supposed to be in the first scene with this guy Peter [Cortlandt, Opal’s son]. Something happened and she wasn’t ready. I was just f—king around at the catering table stuffing bagels in my pocket. All of a sudden, someone comes up to me and says, 'Can you be ready in three minutes?' I said, 'Sure. I’ve got three bagels in a baggie and some bacon, I’m good.' The scene was a [one-way] phone call. When I was done, they said, 'Congratulations, you just finished the first scene of the new ALL MY CHILDREN!' That hadn’t occurred to me. I was just there to work. But it’s kind of cool that I was in the last scene on TV and I taped the first scene on the web."

NEWS ROUNDUP: Frank Valentini On Nurse's Ball, Liz & More; Walt Willey's Biz Lessons; GLEE Valentines

GENERAL HOSPITAL executive producer Frank Valentini on The Nurses Ball and a new love interest for Elizabeth
"For the February sweeps we’ll be teeing up to the nurses ball which will start at the end of March into the anniversary which is April 1. Slightly in contrast to what’s happened in the past, where it was sort of a one-off event, the Nurses Ball will be weaved into story. Big things will happen at the nurse’s ball. And it will go for more than one day."

Valentini also says Elizabeth's next love interest is someone on the canvas, and it's not A.J.
