'The Good Wife' Sneak Peek: Scheming Eli

Alicia and Lucca defend a client who was fired from a technology firm for failing a polygraph test on this week's episode of The Good Wife, airing Sunday, November 8 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. Note: The episode starts later this week due to CBS doubleheader NFL coverage.

Also in the episode, titled "Lies," Eli plots to leak something that would damage Peter's presidential campaign but could inadvertently hurt Alicia.

Christine Lahti guest stars as the technology firm's attorney, Andrea Stevens, and Dominic Chianese appears as Judge Michael Marx.

'The Good Wife' Sneak Peek: Eli Stirs Up Florrick Family Drama

Eli gets an earful but all is not as it seems.
Jason uses aggressive investigative tactics when he assists Alicia and Lucca with a student loan case on this week's episode of The Good Wife, airing Sunday, November 1 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.

Also in the episode, titled "Payback," Howard Lyman alleges ageism at Lockhart, Agos & Lee, pointing to Cary as the primary offender, and Eli stirs up Florrick family drama on Peter's presidential campaign.

'The Good Wife' Sneak Peek: Shoplifting Day

It's perps by the pound on "shoplifting day".
Peter Gallagher appears in the recurring role of lawyer Ethan Carver on this week's episode of The Good Wife, airing Sunday, October 25 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.

In "Taxed," Alicia clashes with the bond court judge when she agrees to support a client's plea of innocence in a shoplifting case. Also, Diane is coerced by her client's counsel, Ethan Carver (Peter Gallagher), to argue against her own beliefs in a case about physician assisted suicide.

'The Good Wife' Sneak Peek: Mother/Daughter Cooking Show

"You want Alicia and Veronica to do a cooking show?" Eli asks.
Stockard Channing returns as Alicia's mother, Veronica, on this week's episode of The Good Wife, airing Sunday, October 18 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. Note: Delays are possible if the CBS late NFL game runs over.

In "Cooked," Alicia and Lucca work together on a complicated court case involving a designer drug dealer. Also, Eli encourages Alicia and Veronica to participate in a mother/daughter cooking show to help Peter's campaign, with disastrous results.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan joins the cast of The Good Wife as Investigator Jason Crouse in the episode ("Innocents") airing Sunday, October 11 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. Note: Delays are possible if the CBS late NFL game runs over.

Alicia argues a complex museum vandalism case that involves photographs a mother took of her son, and considers enlisting the help of investigator Jason Crouse.

Meanwhile, Cary must deal with partner Howard Lyman's inappropriate conduct towards the younger associates at the offices of Lockhart, Agos & Lee.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan Joins 'The Good Wife' as a Series Regular

Jeffrey Dean Morgan will join the the cast of CBS primetime serial The Good Wife as a series regular during the upcoming seventh season. Morgan will play Alex, a calm, experienced hourly investigator whom Alicia hires.

"We've loved and admired Jeffrey Dean Morgan for years, and we were thrilled to hear that Julianna did too, so it was a no-brainer to ask him to join our troupe," said executive producers Robert and Michelle King.

Currently, Morgan stars in the CBS summer drama Extant. He also starred in the miniseries Texas Rising, which explored the formation of the Texas Rangers, and as hotel owner Ike Evans in the critically acclaimed series Magic City. Prior to that, he had a recurring role in the award-winning comedy series Weeds, and on the dramas Supernatural and Grey’s Anatomy. Recently, Morgan completed the feature films Desierto, The Salvation, Solace and Bus 657. Previously, he starred in the films Watchman and P.S. I Love You.

The Good Wife returns for its seventh season Sunday, October 4 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

'Extant' Season 2 Premiere Preview: Jeffrey Dean Morgan Joins the Cast

CBS summer drama Extant kicks off its second season tonight at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Jeffrey Dean Morgan joins the cast as JD Richter, a cop and bounty hunter who thrives on solving the unsolvable.

In the Season 2 premiere, "Change Scenario," six months after her life unraveled and dark secrets were revealed, Molly (Halle Berry) is confined to a psychiatric hospital when she learns of bizarre deaths that sound eerily similar to those she witnessed in space. When she escapes to investigate, she crosses paths with JD Richter, a determined cop who just signed on to the case.
