Hugo Napier & Colleen Zenk: AS THE WORLD TURNS' "Gunnar & Barbara" Reunited at the Indie Series Awards

If you watched CBS daytime drama AS THE WORLD TURNS over its final 32 years you saw Colleen Zenk play the character of Barbara Ryan as she transitioned from young heroine to bitch to mother-from-hell while romancing and/or marrying a string of men including James Stenbeck, Hal Munson, Henry Coleman and John Dixon. My personal favorite was Gunnar St. Clair, the true Stenbeck heir--and the love of Barbara's life, in my mind.

At last week's Indie Series Awards, Ms. Zenk found me during the Red Carpet Reception and said, "There's someone I want you to meet."

With the knowledge that she knows people from every walk of life, this could have meant anyone. She walked me across the room and standing on the other side of the Lobby of the historic El Portal Theatre was Hugo Napier: Gunnar himself!

I was thrilled to finally meet the other half of one of my favorite soap opera couples of all-time. Still handsome and charming, Mr. Napier was incredibly gracious, allowing me a dream fanboy moment. Thank you, Ms. Zenk! Now if I could only get these two onscreen together again...

AS THE WORLD TURNS Alum Danny Pintauro Engaged To Wil Tabares

In 1983 on AS THE WORLD TURNS, Paul Stenbeck (Danny Pintauro) was
a pawn in the biter custody battle between his father James and his mother,
Barbara (Colleen Zenk, above with Hugo Napier who played Gunnar).
Danny Pintauro was not the first child actor to play Paul Ryan Stenbeck in AS THE WORLD TURNS but he's the first Paul many fans remember. He went from playing Colleen Zenk's ATWT son in the early 1980s on ATWT to WHO'S THE BOSS, where he played the son of ONE LIFE TO LIVE alum Judith Light. Now all grown up, Pintauro is engaged to boyfriend Wil Tabares. The happy couple, who live and work in Las Vegas, headed to Palm Springs, Calif. earlier this week to celebrate their one-year anniversary together.

NEWS ROUNDUP: Orlando Napier (Hugo's Son) Shines On THE VOICE, HOUSEWIVES Going To Court, Trevor Donovan Returns

THE VOICE's Orlando Napier is the son of former soap star Hugo Napier
The 25-year-old from Los Angeles was invited to the fifth blind auditions on Monday night (February 27) by Carson Daly, where he became a member of Team Adam Levine following his piano-led performance of "Waiting On The World To Change" by John Mayer.

Levine said: "I think the reason I pressed my button so quickly was because so much of being a singer is timing and within the first line of the song you had this impeccable, smooth timing."

Orlando is the son of former soap star Hugo Napier (Gunnar, AS THE WORLD TURNS; Mike, ALL MY CHILDREN). Hugo has played guitar and saxophone in The Orlando Napier Band as well. The band was originally formed about Hugo, but Orlando quickly became the lead.

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES stars are expected to testify against Nicollette Sheridan
