Soap Alums Michael Park & Kristolyn Lloyd Win Grammys for 'Dear Evan Hansen'

At the 60th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday Night, "Dear Evan Hansen" won for Best Musical Theater Album. That win meant Grammys for former soap opera actors Michael Park (ex-Jack, As the World Turns) and Kristolyn Lloyd (ex-Dayzee, The Bold and the Beautiful).

“Thank you @pasekandpaul and @sbm64blue and my wonderful @dearevanhansen family for making so many dreams come true.#grammys,” Park posted on Instagram.

Park now has an Emmy and a Grammy. He's only an Oscar and Tony away from an EGOT!

In Honor of The Grammys - Memorable Musical Performances

The 51st Annual Grammy Awards air tonight on CBS. In honor of music's biggest day, here are some of my favorite musical performances on soaps from over the years. All of these acts have won or been nominated for Grammy Awards.

CYNDI LAUPER: Lauper performed two songs on AS THE WORLD TURNS gay pride episode in 2008 including this one, "True Colors," which she sang to Luke.

WHITNEY HOUSTON & JERMAINE JACKSON: Before she became huge, Houston joined Jackson on "Nobody Loves Me Like You Do" in 1984 on AS THE WORLD TURNS. The song was Steve & Betsy's theme.

MARY J. BLIGE: The singer performed on ONE LIFE TO LIVE in 2008 at Starr's Sweet 16 party. In this clip, she sings "Just Fine" to a surprised Starr.

NE-YO: The singer, who is nominated for six Grammys tonight, performed "Stop This World" last year at Angie and Jesse's wedding on ALL MY CHILDREN.

CRYSTAL GAYLE & GARY MORRIS: Once Crystal survived the Sin Stalker, she performer "You Take Me Away To (Another World)" with Gary at Tops. The song would become ANOTHER WORLD's theme for several years.

B-52s: The group stopped in Springfield back in 1982 and in this clip sing "Throw That Beat in the Garbage Can". The later sang "My Own Private Idaho". What a trip!

CELINE DION: The diva performed on ALL MY CHILDREN as part of Erica's "New Beginnings" show's 2007 Thanksgiving special singing "Taking Chances".

JEFFREY OSBOURNE: The singer performed "Greatest Love Affair" at Joe and Kelly's wedding on SANTA BARBARA in 1985 followed by On the Wings of Love".

98 DEGREES: The band performed at Oasis when Georgia and Eddie's deejay flaked.

ROBERTA FLACK: The Grammy winner and "Hold On To Love" singer performed "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" in this clip.

There have been a lot of interesting and diverse musical guests on soaps over the years such as Sammy Davis Jr., B.B. King, Jewel, Atlantic Starr, Liberace, Lionel Richie, Smokey Robinson, Ronnie Milsap, Snoop Dogg, Kenny Lattimore, Hazel Scott, Chely Wright and many more. When a musician is incorporated into a storyline in a way that makes sense - like Crystal Gayle being chased by the Sin Stalker on ANOTHER WORLD - they can add a lot to a soap. If not, it can feel intrusive and unnecessary.

Which musical guest stars have been your favorites over the years?
