Gilles Marini Joins 'Days of our Lives' as Ted

Switched at Birth star Gilles Marini has joined the cast of NBC soap opera Days of our Lives, according to EW.com. Marini will play an attorney named Ted who finds himself drawn to Kate Roberts DiMera (Lauren Koslow).

In addition to his role as Angelo Sorrento in Switched at Birth, Marini has played Sebastien Dussault on Devious Maids, Luc Laurent in Brothers & Sisters and Dr. Ghode on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Look for Marini to make his Days debut in early June. He is expected to stick around for a few months.

Gilles Marini to Guest Star in 'The Bold and the Beautiful'

Gilles Marini (ex-Sebastien, Devious Maids; ex-Luc, Brothers & Sisters) will guest star on CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful during its summer storyline taking place in Monte Carlo, according to ET Online.

Marini will play a doctor who is called upon to treat one of the characters while attending the annual Spencer Summit, set in Monaco.

The glamorous expedition will also feature a sexy swimwear fashion show challenge, pitting Forrester Creations against the up-and-coming Spectra Fashions.

Marini will show up two episodes, with his first appearance scheduled for Friday, July 28. This is the actor's third appearance on B&B. In 2007, he played a character named Jean Claude, and in 2005, a French waiter.

Gilles Marini Eliminated From DANCING WITH THE STARS: ALL-STARS; Kelly Monaco Makes Semifinals

The DANCING WITH THE STARS: ALL-STARS RESULTS SHOW just ended on the East Coast. GENERAL HOSPITAL's Kelly Monaco and SWITCHED AT BIRTH's Gilles Marini had a chance to make it to next week's semifinals heading into Tuesday's show. The results of hte double elimination are below (West Coast spoilers):

DANCING WITH THE STARS: ALL-STARS Fusion Dance: Kelly Monaco Foxtrot/Cha Cha, Gilles Marini Tango/Samba

During this week's two-hour DANCING WITH THE STARS: ALL-STARS performance show on Monday, November 5 (8:00-10:01 p.m. ET/PT), the seven remaining couples will perform a fusion dance that has was chosen by their competitors on last week's show. The show's opening number, choreographed by Henry Byalikov, will feature The Troupe and four pros from the season. Later in the night, after the couples' individual rounds, they will all take the dance floor for a swing dance marathon with the chance to add up to 10 extra points to their scores for the night. The couple in first place will get 10 points, the couple in second place will get 9 points, the couple in third place will get 8 points, the couple in fourth place will get 7 points, the couple in fifth place will get 6 points, the couple in sixth place will get 5 points and the seventh place couple will get 4 points.

Lea Thompson was on hand to lend support to SWITCHED AT BIRTH co-star Gilles Marini on Monday's "Country" episode DANCING WITH THE STARS: ALL-STARS. On Tuesday's results show, Sabrina Bryan was eliminated along with her partner, Louis Van Amstel.

SWITCHED AT BIRTH returns January 7, 2013.

We Love Soaps has obtained a fun new clip of Gilles Marini rehearsing for DANCING WITH THE STARS: ALL-STARS on the set of his other Monday night series, SWITCHED AT BIRTH. SWITCHED returns on January 7 for the premiere of Season 2.

SWITCHED AT BIRTH star Katie Leclerc was in the audience supporting her on-screen dad, Gilles Marini, at DANCING WITH THE STARS: ALL STARS last night. Marini has a recurring role in the first season of SWITCHED as Angelo Sorrento, Bay's biological father and Regina's ex, who comes back into their lives after finding out about the switch. The actor has been promoted to series regular for the upcoming second season of the hit ABC Family primetime soap. SWITCHED AT BIRTH airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
