George Hamilton will appear as Colonel Sanders on today's episode of ABC chicken opera General Hospital.Hamilton, who first assumed the role of the Extra Crispy Colonel in 2016 for KFC commercials, is making the appearance to help celebrate National Fried Chicken Day. He reprised the role as the Extra Crispy Colonel in April for more KFC ads.
KFC has been tweeting about GH storylines for the past two weeks, and promoting the Colonel's appearance.
"Fulfilling a childhood dream, Colonel Sanders will join the cast of his long-beloved soap opera, General Hospital," KFC tweeted on Thursday. "Proving, scientifically and otherwise, that if you dream it, anything is possible with some brand partnerships."
KFC is promoting the hashtag #ColonelHospital on Twitter today.
