'Days of our Lives' Hosting Annual "Day of Days" Event on November 10

To celebrate one of the most iconic and enduring series on daytime television, the stars of NBC's long-running drama Days of our Lives will be meeting fans at the "Day of Days" fan event on Saturday, November 10 at Universal CityWalk, located adjacent to Universal Studios Hollywood.

This complimentary event, set for 10 a.m.-5 p.m., for devoted Days of our Lives viewers will offer fans the chance to meet and greet Salem's favorite cast members during autograph signings, a Q&A session, a trivia challenge and much more.

Some of the Days stars scheduled to attend include Lucas Adams, Kristian Alfonso, Lamon Archey, Camila Banus, Nadia Bjorlin, Kassie DePaiva, Judi Evans, Mary Beth Evans, Galen Gering, Linsey Godfrey, Deidre Hall, Bill & Susan Hayes, Drake Hogestyn, Olivia Keegan, Victoria Konefal, Lauren Koslow, Kyle Lowder, Gilles Marini, Eric Martsolf, Casey Moss, Melissa Reeves, James Reynolds, Suzanne Rogers, Freddie Smith, Sal Stowers, Josh Taylor, Greg Vaughan and Robert Scott Wilson as well as special surprise guests.

Days of our Lives is set in the fictitious Midwestern town of Salem. The core families are the Bradys, Hortons and DiMeras, and the multi-layered storylines involve elements of romance, adventure, mystery, comedy and drama.

Days of our Lives is produced by Corday Productions Inc. in association with Sony Pictures Television. Ken Corday is the executive producer with co-executive producers Greg Meng and Albert Alarr. Ron Carlivati is the head writer.

On the heels of their 13,000th episode celebration, the stars of NBC’s longest-running daytime drama, Days of our Lives, will be meeting fans at the “Day of Days” fan event on Saturday, November 12 at Universal CityWalk, located adjacent to Universal Studios Hollywood.

This complimentary event, set for 10 a.m.-5 p.m., for devoted Days of our Lives viewers will offer fans the chance to meet and greet Salem’s favorite cast members during autograph signings, a Q&A session, a trivia challenge and much more.

Days of 'Days' Interviews: The Cast Loves the Behind the Scenes Changes at the Show

The annual "Day of Days" event was held on Saturday, November 14 at Universal Citywalk. Mandy Lynn Denaux covered the event and chatted with the cast of Days of our Lives about the 50th anniversary of the NBC soap opera, the biggest changes with the new behind-the-scenes regime, and much more.

Below are some of the interesting quotes from the day.

Christopher Sean (Paul Narita): "Days is going in a different direction. A stronger, more commercial direction. They knew the fans wanted to see these legends … these heavy hitters, back in the ring for one more round. And that’s the right answer to bring back the avid fans."

Lauren Koslow (Kate Roberts): "We're moving a lot faster. In fact, super fast. I do think it's a good thing. I think it's how stories are told in other genres. Sometimes you have to understand a lot of stuff happens off camera, that you might not see. We're used to doing scenes where we explain everything, and there's less of that. Now we have to get caught up too. I actually think it's a positive change."

The stars of NBC's daytime drama DAYS OF OUR LIVES will meet fans face-to-face at the "Day of DAYS" fan event on Saturday, November 9 from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. at Universal CityWalk in Los Angeles.

This complimentary event for devoted DAYS OF OUR LIVES viewers will offer fans the chance to meet and greet Salem’s favorite cast members during autograph signings, a Q&A session, a trivia challenge and much more.

EXCLUSIVE: Camila Banus & Blake Berris Talk DAYS OF OUR LIVES (WE LOVE SOAPS TV)

As season four of our web series, WE LOVE SOAPS TV, continues, Damon L. Jacobs travels to Mohegan Sun in Connecticut to speak with DAYS OF OUR LIVES stars Camila Banus (Gabi) and Blake Berris (Nick). Banus and Berris talk about his recent return to the soap, Gabi's transformation over the past two years, and what's ahead on DAYS.

Banus also had some interesting comments on the Will storyline: "I think that you're going to be pleasantly surprised. I think the show in general has been working, and specifically some of the directors have been working, on making this as real as possible for Will. A lot of the scenes coming up with him are going to shock some people. It's amazing because shocking is one of the best things you can do in the entertainment business."

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Genie Francis Is Sitting PRETTY 30 Years After Luke & Laura's Wedding (2 of 2)

In Part One of our interview with Emmy-winning daytime legend Genie Francis, the beloved actress discussed her new role on PRETTY THE SERIES, as well as insights into her early career, coping with fame, and reflections on the thirty year anniversary of Luke & Laura's historic wedding on GENERAL HOSPITAL. In Part Two below, Francis recalls her roles on other soaps, concerns about returning to GH in 1993, as well as her triumphant return to daytime on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS.

WE LOVE SOAPS TV: We often see young people in the spotlight who don’t have a healthy support network. How does one find an authentic team of people to help stay grounded?
Genie Francis: It’s hard to say how. Hopefully you have a family that is involved with providing that. If you don’t, hopefully you have surrogates that provide that. It’s hard to know who is there just for you and who isn’t. I was fortunate in that I had people that were really there for me who truly loved me. If I hadn’t had a couple of those people I don’t know what the hell would have happened to me. I think I would have been a lot worse off.

I was fortunate. I had a wonderful studio teacher who put me first in her life and cared for me like a daughter. She was like the good Jewish mother everyone should have. And I had Denise [Alexander]. So there were enough good people around that didn’t have an agenda of feeding off my agenda. I think that is really important. To have people who love you for you. When you are very successful and making a lot of people a lot of money, that is very hard to find.
