VENICE was voted favorite indie series for the 10th time in 11 weeks.

The results are in from the We Love Soaps "Indie Series of the Week" poll for web series that aired October 13-19, 2013. VENICE returned to the top spot as favorite show for the second consecutive week. A new episode of THE INN was second followed by HE'S WITH ME, THE STAFFORD PROJECT and the finale of DATING IN THE MIDDLE AGES.

WATCH: Deidre Hall Guest Stars on DATING IN THE MIDDLE AGES

On the latest episode of comedy web series DATING IN THE MIDDLE AGES, Samantha Collins (Devin Mills) is in a world of trouble when her sexy, albeit pushy Mom (DAYS OF OUR LIVES star Deidre Hall) takes it on herself to fix Samantha up with the perfect Mr. Right. From barging in Samantha’s house (at 8:36 in the morning) to picking out her daughters clothes for the "Surprise waiting for you in the kitchen" Samantha is helpless to her mother's antics. She does, however, daydream about changing to locks in a fun, retro, Motown-esque music video complete with sexy "Locksmith" dancer-singers (Todd Stroik, Kyle Blitch and Brian Rodda).

DAYS OF OUR LIVES star Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans) and Matthew Ashford (ex-Jack Deveraux) join the cast of musical comedy soap opera, DATING IN THE MIDDLE AGES, launching July 30th online at datinginthemiddleages.com.

Created by Devin Mills (DAYS OF OUR LIVES, GENERAL HOSPITAL, THE O.C., BIG LOVE), DATING IN THE MIDDLE AGES follows Samantha Collins, a divorced, historical romance novelist attempting to navigate the dating scene after her fifteen year marriage ends. However, her overactive imagination tends to send her on flights of fancy to medieval times and beyond!

Matthew Ashford Joins DATING IN THE MIDDLE AGES

Matthew Ashford is the latest daytime soap star to sign up for Season 2 of hit web series comedy DATING IN THE MIDDLE AGES. The show tells the story of Samantha Collins, a blocked historical romance writer back on the dating scene after her fifteen year marriage ended. She searches for her Mr. Right through a series of very wrong dates.

Ashford joins his former DAYS OF OUR LIVES co-star Deidre Hall in the second season cast. He has played the character of Jack Deveraux on and off on DAYS since 1987.

He has also been playing Steve Jensen in indie soap THE BAY the past two years.

Longtime DAYS OF OUR LIVES star Deidre Hall has signed on for the second season of DATING IN THE MIDDLE AGES. The web series tells the story of Samantha Collins, a blocked historical romance writer back on the dating scene after her fifteen year marriage ended. She searches for her Mr. Right through a series of very wrong dates.

The show was created by Devin Mills, who once appeared in DAYS played a flight attendant. Mills stars as Samantha and Hall will appear as her mother. Shooting on Season 2 begins at the end of March. Indie Soap Award winner Steve Silverman from PRETTY is on board to direct.
